I am glad that has been cleared up.  Dr. Dobson has always been vocal about his dislike for that series.  I heard him speaking about the fact that this story was false on the radio last week.

What a heartrending story! Those poor children and how utterly sick it is to sue because you gave birth to your less than perfect child and would rather have killed him!! That is just so incredibly sad!!!!

Could it be that the Lord allows these things into our lives to actually teach us something about ourselves that need to be changed? Things like selfishness.
All babies are a blessing no matter how severe their handicap. No child is a mistake. The only mistakes are the wrong heart attitudes.
I studied to be a special education teacher and worked for several years at a camp for handicapped children....and I mean all kinds of handicaps. Every child is a blessing from the Lord....it really is us grown ups who have the handicap when we cannot see this.
May the Lord have mercy on them.

It sounds like what really should have happened, is that the doctor should have advised them not to have any more children, so that an abortion would not be necessary.  They probably thought, as I would have, that it's not common for a family to have more than one disabled child, so they were not worried about it until it happened.  As for Dr. Dobson and Harry Potter, how come he has not spoken about The Lord of the Rings, or The Last Unicorn, or any of those other literary classics?

Sad. Our society rewarding someone who sues someone else for what God has created! Doctors are sued far too often anyway. They are not all knowing. We put our trust in God, not doctors. Psalms 118:8  It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Psalms 146:3  Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. But, if they don't know the Lord(?) who must they trust? Oh that they could know Him!

And I have also known some who have found their disabled child a blessing. Psalms 127:3  Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. But for those who don't know the Lord(?), they must be blind to blessings. Oh that they could know Him!
