Accidents and Insurance Companies
Injury Denial LettersIf you have been in an automobile or motorcycle
accident lately, you may have found that the insurance company is denying you any medical coverage at all. I have found this to be the situation with clients more and more. When the property damage is $1,000 or less, the insurance companies seem to automatically send out denial letters to the injured party. These letters state that with such a low impact
accident, as shown by the low property damage, the do not pay medical damages. The letters usually go on the offer anywhere from $200 to $500 for you to close the case.
In such a situation, the insurance reps know that it is normally a small case which an attorney typically will not take. In this case, the injured driver may find small claims court to be helpful. In small claims, attorneys are not permitted. It will be each individual representing him or herself in the case. Small claims has personnel available to answer questions you may have and to help you fill out the necessary forms.
