I hate this goram weather!!!I went to bed last night to snow falling...I like snow. I woke up this morning to really cold rain...I hate really cold rain. Really cold rain after snow makes for really cold slush. Since I had to drive into work this morning (it's Wed. and I do that every Wed.), I went out at 7am to scrape the driveway whilst the coffee was made. Much to my horror, I discovered the gutter over the garage was clogged, so I had to get up on a ladder and muck out the drains and stab through the ice...that was fun AND dangerous!!!
Unfortunately, due to the drainage situ, I had a little water in the garage. That's not a huge deal as there is a drain in the center of the floor...but it did travel to the back, where I had some boxes of things packed up...Well I guess I know what my Sunday project will be...moving those boxes, transferring things to dry ones...and putting them up on pallets. I lead quite the glamorous life. Let's hope nothing got damaged...<fingers crossed>.
As I said......I'm in the office today. There aren't too many people here today, as the weather kept them working from home. I'm waiting for a conference call to start, and nursing the last of my Starbucks Hot Chocolate! I have a little Josh Groban playing and I'm not
really planning to get much done today...maybe schedule my one on ones for the year...<shrug>.
I would so much rather be home, but Wed. is therapy day.
I'm sure by now, anyone who reads my blog knows I see a therapist. I'm a huge advocate of therapy and encourage a lot of people I know to take advantage of a therapist. It's like cleaning your dresser drawers...you take it all out, toss some in salvation army (what you no longer need or want) then you fold the rest and put it back in it's proper place.
I'm a happier, more sorted person as a result.
Anglophilia...I am an Anglophile. I love all things British. I'm a huge fan of Brit-Pop (Liberty X, Sugababes, Steps, et al), I love candy from the UK, TV, food....yes, I love British Pub Food...and of course British Men. I just finished season 1 of Torchwood last evening...some of the episodes were a little hard to get through...but it's worth it to get to the final two episodes of the season!
I've noticed a trend in British TV...they make the viewer think. They don't explain everything...they leave some things to your imagination. It's uncomfortable at first, because in U.S. television, they tend to spoon feed you everything...but eventually, once I got used to it, I appreciate it.
OK...I'm a little cranky, I could use a back rub...and I am praying my basement doesn't flood!
Keep good thoughts on the latter!!!

Got a lot out of therapy myself, and would still be going if I could. Get this though, I work for a company that does behavioral health and I have 4 therapists working in my office...but company policy forbids me from seeing them. This is the same company that insists we see the medical doctors that work with us. No one can give me a straight answer when I ask about this.

Therapy can be insightful, or it can become an endless rehashing. Very masturbatory. I like therapies that actually lead one away from where one started.
