Resolution A - Resolved: That the United States should reform its federal election system.
I thought this one was very narrow at first, but after reading a brilliant person's (i.e. 'Bekah) comments on it I decided it was very appealing after all. It's not too broad, and not too narrow. Not ideal, mind you, but definitely better than the alternatives. My vote is for this one... =D
Resolution B - Resolved: That the United States federal government should significantly reduce the power of the Department of Homeland Security.
I have the same feeling about this as I did about the Patriot Act resolution... Queezy. =P The best cases will require the Negative team to argue against their beliefs... Plus, it looks like Topicality will be huge (again) with this resolution. :roll: To top that off... It's going to be pretty (okay, really) broad too. :ick:
Resolution C - Resolved: That the United States should change its energy policy to substantially reduce its dependence on foreign oil.
I really don't like oil... 'Nuff said. |
