Great topics.
I don't know about all forms of Kung Fu, there are so many. However, you could compare Shaolin Kung Fu to boxing . . . If one of the boxers went Super Saiyan :P
Believe it or not, the instructor for Kung Fu at UAA (univ. of AK, anchorage) teaches Shaolin. It's hard to believe, because Shaolin has been outlawed in China (except for within the temple) for hundreds of years at least. But his best student is ridiculously awesome, and the instructor is crazy strong and he looks like a normal guy other than for some reason, you can tell he's more alive than most people just by looking at him.
It's also insanely difficult . . . It's like, everything you have to do is so strenuous, you think he's trying to destroy your mind, but if you're strong-willed, you might be able to get through everything, but just barely.
After all that, you realize your body and mind have both become stronger and more healthy. Getting there really blows, though . . . I remember the first few days being so difficult, I got really mad (it was CRAZY TOUGH) and was wondering when I get to hit someone already!! DX
