Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds...

Wow. I just finished Pride and Prejudice. Good book. Now I need to watch the mini-series.

No, I have no plans to say what my other xanga site is.  If anybody finds it, I would be shocked. Because I shall not give any hints to it.

I had a weird food item from starbucks today. It was sorta like a cookie dough brownie.

I want to do a serious post some time. But I don't know what to say.

And, of course, I changed my music again.

starbux is bad. you support sodomy, huh? oh, what a wicked world we live in...

Anna was referring to the fact that Starbucks became blantant in it's support for gays, which she said in this post., and how we should now boycott them.

So.

Did you know that the following companies are just a few of the numerous that "all generously match employee donations to Planned Parenthood Federation of America"?

American Express
Amoco Foundation, Inc.
Apple Computer, Inc.
AutoZone
Aid Association for Lutherans
Bank Of America
BP America, Inc.
Citibank
Compaq Computer Foundation
Ebay Foundation
Exxonmobil Foundation
Gap Foundation
Gillette Company
Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies
J. P. Morgan & Co. Incorporated
Levi Strauss Foundation
Lexis-Nexiz Group
Liz Claiborne Foundation
Mastercard International
Maytag Corporation Foundation
Microsoft Corporation
Mitsubishi
Nike, Inc.
Nintendo of America Inc.
Oracle Corporation
Paramount
Pfizer Foundation
Radioshack Corporation
Reebok Foundation Inc.
Starbucks
Sony Pictures
The Black & Decker Corporation
The Clorox Company
The Home Depot
Time Warner Cable
Tropicana Products, Inc.
Tyco International Inc.
Universal Studios
Waste Management, Inc.
Yahoo, Inc.

If I shouldn’t give any of my money to Starbucks because they support gay people, is it ok to give any of money to these companies? They do support Planned Parenthood, meaning they support abortion, birth control, and sex education.

And on a side note, even if it is ok to give them my money, is it ok to get a job at any of those companies?

I didn't even know you had another post.  Now I want to see it.  That was cruel, Nate.

Yes, P&P was awesome.

...A guy thinks Pride and Prejudice is a good book? Gasp. That's awesome. Yes, you need to see the mini-series. I saw it for the first time last month, and profess myself utterly addicted.

Pride and Predjudice was really good? You've got to be the only guy I know who's actually read it. Although I must admit I've seen most of the mini-series.

A company's views do not necessarily have to reflect yours. If you are convicted that supporting or working for a corporation that you don't agree with, fine. However I don't find it immoral to do so necessarily.

I had a part of that brownie thingy from Starbucks once.  It was good, but I couldn't have much cuz it was from some guy who let me taste his. lol  If I boycotted Starbucks I would die.  Seriously.

I read Pride and Prejudice a loooong time ago.  I should read it again.  I have never seen the mini-series.

Pride and Prejudice is a  good book. I never thought you would read it though.

Try a Toffee Bar from starbucks.....they're good.

My dad works for Tazo, which is starbucks owned. Did you know that all seattle's best coffee is own by starbucks also. *they are trying to take over the world* jk. They have an awesome base in Seattle. I don't support what they support, but their coffee is pretty good.

Where'd you get your list of donating companies? Very interesting. Sorry, but the thought of a guy watching the never ending hours of Pride and Prejudice is quite humorous.

I don't see why you couldn't work for or buy from a company that supports things that you don't. It's a free country. People can do as they please, obviously. I would think moraly it's up to you. Some of those companys probably jumped on the band-wagon not wanting any bad publicity. If you feel moraly obligated to avoid said companys and products, by all means, avoid them. But I don't think it's necessary.
