  • SEWING

well...I am well into Jan., and I have made two "Hobbit" capes...one for Levi and one for Mark...although Mark's didn't have a lining, and he complains that it is "ichy" as it is wool...so I think I have some left over lining from the next cape that I am making for Aaron, to line Marks. This is my relaxing type of activity...costumes...:)  After Aaron's, I do have a piece off-white wool varigated velvet that I got on the sales table that I am thinking of making into a cape...it is really beautiful!  Although Jonathan has voiced the desire to have a cape too. Hummm....the wools are quickly disappearing from the fabric stores...this may be difficult...:)  Then I'm not sure...I think Stephen wanted a non-formal cape...he had a formal cape made for the "Ball" he and Jacob went to at the beginning of Jan.  Jacob hasn't really pushed me about a cape...maybe he is too old ....naw!...he is just too busy...what with school...and he is all "twitter-paitted" over a certain girl down in southern Ca....that he is now formally "courting"....hehehe!   :)  My! How they DO grow up!  Well...off to the sewing machine...tata...:)

Costumes... Fun! Have you been on the website www.sensibility.com? It's my favorite "costume" website- girls' and ladies' dresses (nothing interesting for your sons) from various lovely feminine eras... I just love to get on it and drool... I actually started a "Regency era" dress last fall... Still need to finish it (hems- skirt, lining and sleeves and a few other details), though... Can you show us pictures sometime of your projects? Have a great day!!! Happy sewing!!!
