SURVIVOR
VBS week is over. We had the program for the parents tonight, and my 4 yr olds recited their memory verse beautifully. . .Nothing short of a miracle. I guess technically, they repeated it after me, phrase by phrase, but still. If you'd seen me in the classroom before the program began, you'd know that I was more than a little concerned, when I was trying to get them to "practice," and they were all ignoring me. But they totally did it. :)
After each song of the [way too long] program, one of my kids would say, "Do we get to eat pizza now?"
"Almost done, I promise," was my response each time.
We did get to eat pizza at long last. And we even got to bring home two left-over pizzas. Score! They were handing them out to all the teachers, since they didn't all get eaten.
The head of the whole she-bang this year is a precious girl named Zoe. She is having a luncheon on Monday for all of the teachers (nursery provided), where we'll come with our list of suggestions for what could be better next year. This is the first year that anyone has planned to coordinate it two years in a row, and I'm thrilled. It will be even better next year. . .Need to get busy on my list. Heh, heh.
Actually, I have a Tupperware party in the AM. I need to go get all my Tupper-junk packed up. Think good thoughts of lots of people showing up for me.
Papa Bear has gone to borrow the original Star Wars from a friend, so he and Buddy can have some quality bonding time tomorrow, while I'm Tupper-occupied. |
