SURVIVOR

VBS week is over.  We had the program for the parents tonight, and my 4 yr olds recited their memory verse beautifully. . .Nothing short of a miracle.  I guess technically, they repeated it after me, phrase by phrase, but still.  If you'd seen me in the classroom before the program began, you'd know that I was more than a little concerned, when I was trying to get them to "practice," and they were all ignoring me.  But they totally did it. :)

After each song of the [way too long] program, one of my kids would say, "Do we get to eat pizza now?"

"Almost done, I promise," was my response each time.

We did get to eat pizza at long last.  And we even got to bring home two left-over pizzas.  Score!  They were handing them out to all the teachers, since they didn't all get eaten.

The head of the whole she-bang this year is a precious girl named Zoe.  She is having a luncheon on Monday for all of the teachers (nursery provided), where we'll come with our list of suggestions for what could be better next year.  This is the first year that anyone has planned to coordinate it two years in a row, and I'm thrilled.  It will be even better next year. . .Need to get busy on my list.  Heh, heh.

Actually, I have a Tupperware party in the AM.  I need to go get all my Tupper-junk packed up.  Think good thoughts of lots of people showing up for me.

Papa Bear has gone to borrow the original Star Wars from a friend, so he and Buddy can have some quality bonding time tomorrow, while I'm Tupper-occupied.

Congrats on surviving your long week, and LONG program.  I hate those programs they do at the end of every activity children are involved in!  Does that make me a bad mommy?

Forgot to mention, I am a big fan of Tupperware.  Sold it for a while, then got too busy, but still love it.  Do tell your cutomers at the party that if they camp, those new expandale bowls are AWESOME for use in the trailer, because they take up so little storage room, yet are big enough to store leftovers.

Looking forward to Saturday.  Hope your tupper day went well.  I'm just not preparing for a party just now...hope you understand.  If you have some scheduled in Atlanta, I will share in taking care of kids.  Will your DH be coming?  I hope so.  Need some ImBigInEurope squeezes.

just stopping by your site.  Just wanted to say my whole life I memorized verses.  Now as an adult it's come back to me at the most important times.  It's like God is wispering in my ear reminding me of those verses.  I believe he is faithful in that!  Have a great day!

I hope you had a wonderful turn out at your tupperware party.........Oh, I so love tupperware.  I am so excited about you surviving the week and that make you another one of my hero's.

Is it not amazing, how patient we become in the presence of doing the Lord's work?

Love you and have a wonderful week, hugs.

Steph

We have VBS coming up in our church.  This week we have been sending our kids to another church for VBS in the evenings.  It is such a nice break, um, I mean I am so thrilled at what they are learning.  Well, you get the idea.

I'm so glad that everything was successful.

Tupperware rocks.  My favorite pieces are the little bitty condiment cups and the gravy shaker thing with the measurements on the side.

RYC: Your kiddos made my short list!  You know what I loved those names from?  Sarah, Plain and Tall!   Those were the names of the brother and sister characters, and I thought they were adorable. :)

Craigslist.org is a good place to look for jobs. Also, http://www.finetuning.com looks for how-to articles, informative articles, and advice articles. THey pay pretty decent, article length is 1000 words, and they pay rather rapidly. I would try there. On second thought, there might be a hyphen beween fine and tuning. Google it though :)
