THE QUIVER IS FULL
Crazy pregnant dreams:
Last night I dreamed about Xangans. I was somewhere on the beach with my family, and lots of random Xanga folks just happened to be there. I remember specifically Nina and Jack. I think they were helping their kids make some big, elaborate sand sculpture. And Nina's bathing suit was really cute-- very similar to the one I wish I had. Does that mean that in some sort of popular girl, highschool kind of way, I think she's cool? Or maybe just that my hormones are wacky, and my dreams make no sense. I think Sisyphus and his fam were there too, and we were saying how neat it was to finally see what Nina and Jack looked like. And that yes, she did look a lot like Jewel. . .Hope that doesn't creep anyone out.
Oh, did I fail to mention that bit of White house news? Yeah, numero cinco. Right now I'm sitting somewhere between excited and overwhelmed.
I'm thinking that I'll finally be able to close the child-bearing chapter of my life without ambivalence. Or at least, if ambivalence shows up, it'll be too late, as I'll be making an appointment for Papa Bear to see a urologist, as soon as the sick portion of the pregnancy is over.
I just told my Mom this week (and Papa Bear's parents right this minute), and I thought that how she broke the news to my Dad was funny:
Mom: Ken, do you believe that every child is a gift from God?
Dad: Yeah.
Mom: Do you really think that every child is a blessing?
Dad: Yes, I do. Is this a trick question?
Mom: Yes, Erika's pregnant.
Dad laughed. :)
