So the general consensus is that mopping is simply a dreaded task. . .So glad.  I always thought it was just ME.

Now that I've confessed mine, I feel inspired to ask everyone else, "What is your most hated household chore?". . .or any chore, for that matter.  Come on and fess up.  You'll feel better, when everyone agrees that it's the pits.

I've always claimed that folding clothes is what I hate the most, but cleaning the bathrooms is almost a given, and third would be cleaning out the refrigerator.  Now the refrigerator thing doesn't mean just throwing out everything...it means really cleaning and leaving the kitchen as clean as it was before the refrigerator task was started. (smile papa bear)

I guess folding clothes. I can do most everything else, but I can leave clothes on the couch for weeks. Even sit on them.

I'd have to agree with you.... mopping - ugh!  Although cleaning bathrooms would run a close second.  (I mean really cleaning - not just swishing & swiping.  I could do that any time....)

Have a great day!  ~Lori

Any chore that requires mopping, sweeping, plunging, wiping, scrubbing, rinsing, washing, folding, hanging, scouring, straightening, dusting, and adjusting.  I think I covered it all.

Any chore...LOL. I wish we could have little robot maids like Rosie from The Jestson's...and for free. I have to vote for mopping as being my least favorite.

Washing dishes, definately.  I'm hoping my future hubby either loves to wash dishes, or loves my cooking so much that he'll wash dishes anyway!

I hate laundry.  There are five of us living in the house, three of whom are teenagers.  They must try on four different outfits a day before picking what they will wear, and the clothes end up in the laundry rather than being put back where they go.  Laundry ends up being a 12-hour chore in our house and I simply hate it.  Whine.  Whine.  Whine.  (I'm very whiney lately.)

I don't mind folding the clothes...but I hate putting them away.  My folded clothes just sit in a pile until they've all be worn and it's time to wash them again.  Next is doing the dishes (no dishwasher in an 80 year old house), then mopping the floors.  Yuck!

I hate putting clothes away too.  It bugs me that I can't get other family members to put away their own damn clothes.  Why is it such a big deal?  I have no idea.

But that doesn't come close to my most hated chore.  I hate mopping the floor, I hate cleaning the tub and shower, and I hate cleaning the refrigerator.  I think the refrigerator is the worst.  But all three are just upsetting.

If I had a dog, the worst chore would be picking up after it, but that's why I don't have a dog.  :D

I despise laundry the most.  Every part of it.  I hate the separating, washing, drying (and picking things out that aren't supposed to be in the dryer), hanging, hand-washing, folding, putting-away, even dropping something off at the dry-cleaners.  I HATE it.  I would, in all honesty, rather buy brand new clothes and throw out the dirty ones.  When my husband and I got married, we agreed that he would do the laundry and I would do EVERYTHING else.  Of course, that changed after we realized exactly how many chores there were going to be...

any chore. I'm NOT a good housewife. I'm trying to train myself to be, but it's so hard. I hate washing dishes, dusting, doing laundry, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming. And the thing about it all is it's not like you do it once and then you're done. It's a never-ending and very thankless job. But like I said, I'm trying to be a better housewife. That's why I'm so impressed when I meet homeschooling mothers. They are superwomen to me. They stay home. They raise a family. They keep a good, clean house. AND they teach!!! Amazing. Utterly and absolutely amazing. They should be paid what professional athletes and celebrities are paid.

I pretty much hate any chore as well and usually only do it when company is coming!!  The bathrooms are the ultimate worst for me.....toilets and the floor are not fun!  Laundry I don't mind I just don't like to put it away.  Dishes my sweet hubby does and the rest....gets done when I have time and when I think about it.  Life is too much fun to be spent cleaning all day!  That's the Ang philosophy!

Does cooking count as a "chore"? I hate folding clothes and putting them away. I can handle most else. Swiffer Wet Jet is my friend, I can't believe people still do it the old fashioned way :-o

I agree with dusting lady.  My house is so cluttered (thank you, dear husband.  you too, children) that dusting is impossible.  A backhoe might do the trick.

RYC: Yes, I've started Arbonne but haven't had any luck with it. Apparently people are being wildly successful but I haven't sold a dang thing. I haven't been trying as hard as I could be I guess, but it's hard when you don't know anyone and you keep moving around every few months. How are your friends doing with it? Promise me one thing...if you decide to sign up, PLEASE sign up under me.

If I were to be honest, I would say all of them. :) The most dreaded, though, is laundry. With five of us - it is never done. Granted, I only do one load a day now compared to ten on the weekends, but it is still a pain in the butt.

And I absolutely hate cooking. Hate. It.

RYC: I think I will be really good at this job and I have to forget about the whole who I am raising money for. If I do well, I get bonuses. My money is going to be all our spending money and, let's face it, I LIKE to spend :)

RYC: I hear ya. I'm horrible too, I have the same problem with not wanting to make anyone uncomfortable. I talked to my neighbor about it and just about ran out of her house I was so nervous, LOL! Oh well, we'll see how it goes. I'm sorry you're still feeling bad, I was like that too during my pregnancies. It was a feat just to get off the couch for me, I can't imagine doing all that you are.
