STUFF ABOUT NOTHING

Can I just say one more time how much I hate laundry?  Of course I can.  I haven't even said it since the seventh laundry dirtier arrived on the scene.  And while I'm complaining. . .I haven't had a pure, complaining post in a while; I know you miss them. . .I LOVE the warm weather, but I DON'T love the abundance of laundry that it produces.  My kids have inherited my intolerance of being just a little too hot or a little too cold, so they have to change from turtle neck to t-shirt to tank top, as the day progresses.  And since they're outside for most of the day, EVERYTHING they wear gets dirty.  It's a far cry from the days in my pregnancy when I'd let Buddy wear the same outfit day and night (usually sweat pants) until it got dirty.  Anyway, just thought y'all should know that I'm drowning in laundry:  My apologies to Alicia, I mean Moesha, who's hearing this complaint for the second time.  Go and say hi to her, by the way.  She's a xanga newbie, who used to go to my church down here in Bulldog country.

Since I can't remember what else was on the complaint agenda for the day, let me gush for a moment about the movie Papa Bear and I watched a couple nights ago:  Elizabethtown.  I REALLY liked it.

. . .Will say more about that later.  I'm nursing the baby. . .tired of typing one handed.

I wish I could complain about laundry. But I dont' have machines and I'm out of quarters. This month, I have to resort to handwashing.

How about we trade. I'll be more than happy to do laundry, if you would like to mop and do some dishes.

I HATE mopping. And dishes. I always insist on wearing those ridiculous looking yellow gloves which I can't even wear anymore b/c I've been using them to clean up after puppy.

I am completely with you on the laundry. My machine is constantly going!! It's kind of like "Newman" from Seinfeld. Everytime I think about laundry I say it just like they used to say "Newman"! I absolutely LOVED Elizabethtown too!!!

Get a boppy...my babies lived on the boppy while they were in the "nurse 24/7" phase. At least it allows you to type 2-handed. The coolest invention EvEr.

The boppy is great, I agree with girl_in_pictures. I still can't figure out how to totally go hands-free. My little guy kicks and squirms so much!

Do you think if we left a pair of dirty underwear under our hubbies pillows the laundry fairy would come?

You crack me up. "I haven't had a totally complaining post in a while and I know you miss them!" You wouldn't think so, but it was fun to read. I can relate. And the bad thing is that you can never get caught up completely. Like everything we do, I guess.

I am trying something new in the laundry area.  I only do laundry on Wed and Sat (wich flows into Sunday).  I realize that I only have 2 kids anjd 2 adults and you have lets see....twice that at least.  But otherwise I am doing laundry every frickin day...I will say there is one problem with that.  The kids run out of socks most of the time.  I sent Ken to the basement where the dirty whites never got done yesterday to pick up some dirty socks for Henry to wear to church.  Can you worship in dirty socks??

I will also say my definition of 'doing laundry' only applies to the dirty pile.  Once it makes it to the couch to be folded, its DONE.  So I usually have to send someone to the Yellow couch to pull out a sock or pair of underwear.

I don't mind doing the laundry.  It is one of my jobs around the house.
