| | We're back from Atlanta. . .yes, again. Thursday night we went to the Laser Show at Stone Mountain, and Bananna and JuJu went back to Atlanta with Aunt Tina, so they could spend an extra day with cousins. My Mom picked them up on Friday, and I went to retrieve them from her on Sunday. I got to see my cousin from Seattle (who's in the midst of a move to NY) and his wife and kids on Tuesday night. I think it'd had been close to 5 years since I'd seen him, so that was a treat. We got to visit with Gandy and Grandaddy, who were tanned and rested after their trip to Destin with Ang and company. Tuesday morning we had gone to Aunt Bethany's neighborhood pool, with the giant water slide and the kiddie island. The big kids had a blast, but Luke was having an "off" morning (to put it nicely) and Nat was a bit of a handful. So that made for a pretty worn out Mommy by lunchtime on Wednesday, when we got back into Athens. Today was an unpacking and decluttering sort of day. Now I can find the floor, that needs SO desperately to be mopped. Papa Bear is expected home shortly with food from the restaurant for all (yay, Papa Bear). Then we need to determine what will happen after dinner. . .Go get present for tea party b'day tomorrow, that the girls are invited to. . .Get groceries (while getting present). . .Go to the pool for a couple hours (only if Papa Bear will come or keep Lukie). . .He's home. Going to eat. . . .Back now. The original plan for the evening was to put Luke to bed a little early (and a movie on for everyone else) and let Anna practice babysitting, while we walked in the neighborhood (with a cell phone, in the daylight, with the doors at the house locked ;). But alas, the groceries and b'day present shopping won out. Papa Bear feels a bit under the weather anyway, and still he went to help out a friend in need (to load a moving truck). This entry is even boring me, the writer. I hope to get into a better writing groove, when the school year gets underway. I almost wanted to delete this post, but I do think that one day, I will find it interesting to read about the day to day stuff with 5 little kids. I'll probably think, "How did we DO that?" Sometimes I think it now. Or "WHY did we do that?" in regard to things like the laser show (STARTS at 9:30pm). Just kidding. It was fun. . .mostly. P.S. Must take and post pics of Luke in his new monkey hat tomorrow, so that you can all admire his cuteness. |
