WEAK

Yeah, so that didn't last long.  Going on "hiatus" was a sure-fire way to get me to post more, no?  And all of you tempting me back into the blogosphere with your friendly comments. . .you should be ashamed of yourselves!  O.K.  I'm just going for no Xanga time during the day.  I can blog and peruse to my heart's content, once the urchins are in bed.

If you've been a long-time reader,  you've probably heard me say this a time or two, but here goes:  I have an entirely ridiculous amount of snot, when I have a cold.  Seriously.  I know other people get congested, but this is not normal.  I decided as much when I leaned over in the bathroom to get something, and water-like snot was actually pouring (no, not dripping) into the sink.  I know it's gross, but I'm just sayin.

Natalie is under the weather as well.  I took her to the immediate med-care place today, because my pediatrician's office is so swamped, that they had no appointments available for today OR tomorrow.  Nat was wailing that her ear hurt, and there was no way we were going to wait until Saturday AM.  Her ear was infected.  Antibiotics are doing their thing.  God bless Publix for having a list of FREE antibiotics, by the way.

JuJu and I are back on track (if one day constitutes a track) with school work.  We hadn't really gotten into a post-Christmas groove with our morning Kindergarten time.  We've been reading books a plenty, which is really what I think is most important for little squirts like her.  But I'm seriously considering letting her ride the bus (with Caleb) next year to first grade, so we'd best do a little formal schooling.

I have a really interesting lead about a possible job opportunity for me for next year.  I need to call and follow up about it tomorrow.  It would only be one (or possibly two) mornings a week.  It has to do with kids and education and homeschooling. . .all the stuff that I've been immersed in for quite a few years now.  I'll keep you posted, if anything develops.   Your blog-dependent Anothermad :)

RYC: Yeah, Christmas will be hard for her for years to come. But, the Lord is good. He's holding them up.  // My husband now thinks I'm a bit nuts (or has further confirmation, take your pick ). I came bursting into our room waving the Publix mag & yelling "It's so cool-I know her!" and he's like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? who????" Too funny. Anyway.   We passed the head cold thing last week. Hope yours goes away fast!!

Yeah, I haven't been around as much lately, but it's like riding a bicycle--you pick up right where you left off! :)

Hope the household is feeling better soon.

This is the second blog in a row with ear infections.  My 5yo had screaming ear infections this week too and my ped office didn't even return my call.  We tried the emergency room Thursday afternoon and it was full of flu patients and knowing from experience that we'd likely be there for many, many hours, went back home and limped through the night, went back Friday morning at 6:30 and were the only ones in the waiting room.  Went right back, the kids (had all 5 with me since Daddy was out of town) were given crayons, paper and got to watch NickJr (we turned off satellite at home and they are in withdrawal, especially having been home sick with the flu all week and no cartoons) and got stickers.  My 5yo said "that was fun.  that was the best time ever."  And wanted to go back again the next day.  I think maybe we need a middle ground in our ER.

I JUST quit my 15 hour per week job. Too hard. Too stressful on the family. It's amazing how much bored down time I have when I'm watching the kids all day, and yet how crazy busy I am when I try to work 15 hours per week.

RYC: Man I remember those days. We had 4...3 under 4 at one time. Getting ready for church Sunday morning was something. I'll nver forget one Sunday morning, we were halfway to church and my wife gasps. I said Oh No What! Our middle child had no panties on. So many memories...laugh now, but then it wasn't so funny! Now sometimes we keep a couple of the granddaughters on Sat night and take them to church. There is a reason why God had us have kids when we are younger! Hope you are having a blessed Sunday!

RYC: You are welcome to come by anytime and spend as long as you like. That's what I have my site for, for encouragement and exortation of other Christians...and hopefully God will use it to bring others to Him. Something most likely I won't know til I get to Heaven if anyone trusted Christ because of my site, but it's nice to think He might possibly use it. I LOVE Christian music, so I am ALWAYS putting a new song on at LEAST every other post. I'm 49 by the way, the big 5 0 next Hope those kiddo's are down for the night...that was ALWAYS such a realief to finally get them all to bed Have a blessed week!
