  • CAT

To my surprise, friends from the other batch definition didnt quite exactly define what I had to face in CAT. They said that all I had to do was community service, and that military training is long gone with the earlier generations. They made us squat and stuff, and I was like totally shaking because I am not a physical person. I never do any workouts or even a bit of exercise. Saluting the right way (the right way that is completely pointless) was a little agonizing, not to mention squatting. I really have no idea what's the point of this, well except for discipline. But it is so obvious that with the small time scale, I am positive it will not change how the students behave. Still I guess its just for the sake of exposing us to the conformist and souless military experiences.

They seperated us into flights, and it was obvious that it had some stereotyping going on. There were flights for the varsity, for the honors or otherwise brainy, there were flights for the unpopular. Also had no idea for this stereotyping thing, and I think it is a plot to poke fun out of the students. They officers of course did not say how the flights have been organized, but it was so obvious. I am lucky at the least that I was put into a good flight and the officers (students who've suddenly become terrorizing) assigned to us is less scary compared to the others.

I am not looking forward to our CAT meetings, neither am terrorized by it. Who would look forward to military training and community service? I also dont understand why some of my friends enjoy it. Not one bit.
