two Firsts
Tonight was a night of two firsts. So we dropped my borther off at FEU-NRMF again, and bought Starbucks (again), though this time, I wore more appropriate clothing. :) The two firsts:
1. I treated my whole family (except for the eldest, since he is in Puerto Galera) with Starbucks. My plan was actually to only treat my mother (quite ironic and reversal of roles) since she won first place in the sort of Paper/ thesis competetions held wordlwide. But of course, us being 4 in the car, it would be unfair to cast favoritism, so at the spur of the driving moment, I decided to reat them all. It was sad and a joy for me. Sad because I lost 500 bucks of my graduation money, and happy since I felt like I was mature and treating them with my first payroll, which is so not.
2. This is the first time I enjoyed a starbucks bev., wherein I really felt my money was worth spending on that coffee joint. I ordered "Raspberry Black Currant". Ive decided coffee ain't for me, and I was more of a fruit-blend-person.
PS sorry sa kababawan ng theme ng post.

pwede na xanga ngaun!!!actually kanina pa pla.
no.. its not shallow at all.. u were just appreciating 2 firsts and that can never be a bad thing! =)
weirdly, i only feel my money is worth when the people i treat enjoy the moment with me ... it makes everything worth it!
ps.
although i have to say my drink will always be - a venti pumpkin spice latte in a double cup! too bad they only have it during the holiday season!
500 bucks? That's a lot. And I hate coffee, fruit-blends are great. That was nice of you to do that.
@Truncated - haha that day will come. siyempre yun yung first sweldo mo, its tradition! :)
so you havent been into a starbucks? or did i misinterpret that? :)
@dimntrg - pumpkin spice latte? first time Ive heard that, and sounds really exotic :D. we dont have that here though, or do we? haha
@WiseOrFool - I guess were the same again. :) 500 bucks (peso) though is like... um.... 10 dollars in America. So in other countries that just like spare change, where here its like a big thing. ah third world.
@Ardenlabroasuncion - err. i don't know but that's something we look forward to every holiday season here in the US ... but its really good! that's actually my bribe to myself for toughening to go to work despite the snow season! =)
@dimntrg -
oh haha. maybe itll come here in the phils soon. :)
@Ardenlabroasuncion - i hope so coz they're sooo good.. weird they never offered it there - it's been around for ages!
but given the tropical weather in the philippines .. i would say 'java chip' is a perfect companion!
@dimntrg -
you know, i think pumkins are not ideally grown here in the Phils. maybe thats why? haha. the favorite here is coffee jelly though. but still, i believe more in the beauty fruit blends brings to my taste buds. haha
@Ardenlabroasuncion - The world's a weird place. It's sad that we can't all be equal.
@WiseOrFool -
I believe, that othrough inequality, God has special plans. plans that hones compassion and empahthy. I still believe that in this world, we are not meant solely for happiness.
I love going to Starbucks!
It's really quite something to treat your family to something nice. It makes those bonding moments special because you made it happen with money you earned.
it's not mababaw... Ang saya nga eh, you get to treat your family sa Starbucks... How I wish I could do the same thing for them... Unfortunately, I don't have the money to do that! haha! Di bale, two years na lang naman eh (and hopefully, di ma-extend), magtatrabaho na rin naman ako.
oo nga pala, anong work mo? wala lang, natanong ko lang. hehe. :)
@caffeinecups - yep. though we didnt bond though, since it as taken out, and as we got home, drank in our own personal spaces. :(
@gheyb - work ko? ngeks, mag cocollege pa ko. baka nga 9 years pa till my first paycheck e. haha
@pReTTy_rAeCheLLe - di ba? haha. pero siyempre pag first time magkasweldo, dapat dinner naman! haha
@Ardenlabroasuncion - wah! nakakaasar! bangag ako nung nag-comment ako sa'yo... pasensya na... hehe. galing nga pala sa grad money mo yung pinang-treat mo... sorry, hehe...
@gheyb - haha its okay. i myself am a victim ng pagkabangag minsan. :P
