I'm sitting here scared out of my mind and crying.  The vet just called and Charlie cat just doesn't want to wake up. All the monitors show no problem but they have had to give him a stimulant to see if he will respond.  They may have to keep him over night.

I always put off having his teeth cleaned because I was afraid he was too old for the stress and anethesia. Perhaps had we done it a couple years ago that tooth would not have become bad and have to be removed when he got to his 14 yrs.

Chandler is following me like a puppy, I think he knows his buddy is gone.

I will be so lost if something happens to him.

Poor Charlie--poor you.  Hope that by now he is awake and alert.  Then you can bring him home and spoil him!!

So sorry to hear about Charlie. I know how much you must love your pets and hope that Charlie will be ok. Sending prayers and a *hug* as I am sure you could use one right now.

Oh, my gosh, b.    I will think about this all day.   It's so hard to deal with a sick pet, especially one who had become one of the family.    Hugs.

I hope Charlie is OK. I worry about my cats, too.

When my son was growing up, he had the most wonderful cat named Herbie, who lived to be 18 years old and was a joy every minute of his life. The vet anesthetized him to clean his teeth when he was about 12 or 14, and Herbie had trouble waking up, too. The vet sent him home, but the poor animal was not able to walk or hold up his head.

At that point, my son was in college, and he had gone tubing on a river in Wisconsin about 75 miles from here, He lost his car keys in the river, so we had to drive up there and bring him another set of keys. I was afraid to leave Herbie at home, but my husband sometimes goes to sleep driving, so I was also afraid to let him go alone. There I was, riding along on that 150 mile round trip, cradling Herbie wrapped in a blanket in my lap!
