Amazing what I do to keep my mind off the news. Here in Brownsville a couple butchered their 3 little children and in our city someone dumped a new born baby boy in a school dumpster! Is it a wonder I do not want to read or watch news?

As I told my regular journal visitors today, I tangled with a Texas insect, probably a scorpion, yesterday. Walking to put water in the butterfly bath near the stump of the mimosa when a dagger hit the outside of my big toe right at the joint.

I have been able to walk around today and only early a.m. did I take a pain pill and atarax. So again today has been a 'snoozy' one for me. In fact I feel like bed now at 9:35 p.m.

What I wonder is will they take my donated blood tomorrow or had I best hang on to it as my husband thinks I should.

So sorry this happened! Gee, if you hadn't been such a good "meal" for some critter, you wouldn't be sick! I always say the bugs know I was born in the midwest because I am a prime target for mosquitos and other flying or biting insects. Heal in the best way for you!

Dear Bonnie, I do hope this never happens to you again. The creepy crawlies are hard to cope with.

The world is a sad and frightening place sometimes.

I am sorry to hear about the scorpion sting.
