Poking around a folder I had photo's in that used to be on Ofoto. I could never buy any of those pictures so they dumped them. I can't help it if the resolution wasn't good enough for a 4x6 at least.

Anyway I was real pleased with this one when I took it, still am. We don't get many dandelions around here so I'm glad I didn't miss the opportunity.

When I was little nothing was more fun than running around blowing these things.  Mom always scolded about creating more for the next year. Then as I grew and it became my job to dig them out of the yard it wasn't fun any more.

Fall was such a great time for me. Raking leaves was no problem because when the pile got big enough it was run and jump in them, rake em up and do it again. Once tired of that it was burn them and the smell was so fresh and clean.

Down here I only rake leaves if I want to mulch something like a flower bed for the cold days ahead. Spring is when leaves are a problem on the grass. The live oak sheds hard brown leaves that don't make good compost! Or they didn't for me.

It got cold last night. Our furnace pilot was not lit so I pulled the blanket from under Chandler so I could keep warm. Getting up to a cold house is such fun, especially when you make the first trip to the cold toilet seat.

Just reminds me of the old out house days. I hate those things.

Tonight it is to be cold again. I wonder if we are now going into winter and I can put my bulbs in. Don't have to put the day lilies in the frig first if I read the tag correctly. I know the ones outside aren't brought in to chill.

My sinus gave me heck all day. Right now my head feels fine. I suppose the minute I sink onto the pillow my nose will clog. I'm back on ClairitanD so maybe not. Got a sneaky feeling this Winter will be one of those allergy type.

Think I will sign off and shut down and go read some more of Bob Hope's book about his second stint in Viet Nam. Almost finished it this morning.

I loooove that dandelion picture. I loved blowing them around as a child also, we had a field full of them. This brings back some nice memories.

I hope you will be feeling better soon.

That is one HUGE dandelion!  We get tons of them here in the summer. The bane of every gardener's existence. They're dang near impossible to kill, and they propagate like..well, like the weeds they are. They are quite pretty when they're in their billowy stage though.

Outhouses are like camping. I hate camping.

That is a great shot of a dandelion!  I remember camping out at the lake when I was young.  At first, we had a shovel and a path.  When Daddy built an outhouse, it was a big deal!  Now, my mother and sister live in nice houses on that same lake.
