Started out cloudy, I put the flags out before leaving for church. If I heard the weather forcast last night didn't remember it. On the way out of church a light mist began to descend, hub remarked we best take the flags down. We didn't, had lunch and while I was in here moving stuff from a zip to a CD I could smell rain and hollered to hub to get the flags. It opened up on him.

Well finally I was able to figure out how to move files to the CD, best free up zips, Best Buy local store doesn't even sell them! Hub couldn't believe they still sell floppies though. I'm still irked with IOMEGA for putting those zips in cardboard instead of plastic! Maybe they only do that for Wal Mart sales.

I've been really feeling every joint that has arthritis since they took me off Celebrex. I don't which is worse, risking heart damage of hurting so bad you don't want to move. Yeah I know the answer to that.

Today pastor summoned me to help dispense Communion by intinction. I found my mind sort of wandered as I noticed how people dip the bread in the juice. (Methodists do not use wine). Almost every woman will have her free hand prepared to go under any dripping bread, not so the males. They dip and just swing the bread away from the cup and I hope the cloth I am holding keeps any off the carpet.   Now some men lean over the cup so it can drip back in the chalice as they head for their mouth. Sure hope none of them ever slobber.

When you are served and the server says to you "God's blood shed for you" the reply if you feel you must should be "Amen". I get "thank you".  I pretend they are saying that to God and not me. Mostly men knew that was the correct response.

Pastor apologized later for not asking me before today if I would help. She's still not asked me to reconsider resignation from the Worship Committee. I wonder if she remembers? Tomorrow night is their meeting and I'll know if I get an email about the agenda.

It's funny but I felt like one huge weight was lifted from my shoulders when this year started and the only required item for me is Meals On Wheels.  Excuse me now while I go clean all Committee items off my little plastic shelf. Would also help if I finished with the Christmas cards so that box could be stored.

Wow, sounds like you are really learning the ins and outs of computer stuff!  (Ha, don't I have the terminology mastered?)

Arthritis is so painful, for me right now it is mostly in my fingers, and my joints are swollen, but sometimes they swell even larger and turn red.  Sometimes they are too stiff to move, and sometimes they even "catch" - ouch!

And of course, when I mention these things to my doctor, they ingore it.  Except once, one of them told me I should take aspirin if it's too painful.  And managed to make it sound like I am a wimp for complaining.

Hope yours feels better soon!

It was grey here, and the rains came. We were in the pasture with a colicky horse early, and the damp made me achy. I am pretty young to have arthritis, but I think I do. Some mornings I ache so badly I don't want to move!
Hope that the lighter load means you have more time to relax.....

Think you have retained the best job Sis.   MOW is a service to fellow man that  most  people aren 't prepared to do.    And  more valuable than most other things.

Heh,  I'll bet it wasn't a woman doctor that told SuzyQ damit that she should try aspirin.

Ticks me off when  arthritis gets to my wrists and fingers.   'Bout the only joints that I can get  service out of any  more.

Last night we had freezing rain.  Lots of accidents last night when the roads accumulated ice.  Glad our kids had the sense to stop at a motel.

You are really learning a lot about PSP now.  I hope to get out and buy it soon.  Haven't had time to sit and play with the trial version I downloaded.  Don't want to buy and download online.  Want a disc in my possesion for when I have to reinstall everything!

The two little characters are so cute!  My grandson thinks I know so much about computers----he should know you!!!  One of his classmates at high school asked him a computer question.  He said he didn't know, but would find out.  He called me, and I fortunately knew the answer.  He went back and told his friend.  Friend asked where he found out.  Silas said my grandmother told me.  His friend was dumbfounded that a "gramma" would know ANYTHING about computers!!  And I don't know nearly as much as a lot of the "Old People" here on Xanga!  It is good when young people find out that we are still pretty smart in our old age, right??  And that we can still learn new things!

It is good when you don't feel stressed by your volunteer work.  There comes a time when one must slow down.  Think you have reached it, haven't you?  Just the MOW is a big commitment.

Oh, no.  Poor Hub to get drinched taking down the flags.  Was he upset?

I hardly ever use Zip disks anymore, but I still have them.  Mine are in plastic, but mine are older ones.  Maybe they just put the newer ones in cardboard?

It's good that you do the MOW.  I used to do that when I didn't work full time.

I feel so ignorant when it comes to computer work, although I have been using a PC for several years it has only been for work. The preparation of school papers and translations.

Maybe when I stop being so busy at school I'll find the time to learn something more on my PC. All the best with your MOW.
