Hi folks. I just found time to make a note here. My eyes can hardly stand the white on my monitor. So bright! I set it so this is grey as I work, and my email is grey but oh the surrounding white! Which by the way I can detect an almost cream at the outermost edge of the screen. Lordy when that happened with Gateway monitors they went kaput!

My computer apparently was ready yesterday but our answering machine didn't take the message right. No biggee as I had dusting to finish doing. Still have the other wall of the room with bookcases to do. At least now I have the full shelf up over this for knick knacks. The speakers can sit in range of this flat screen monitor.

I had a heck of a time getting my internet back. Required some driver downloads and fortunately a peek in my box here found the cd after all. Then it was a fight to get my email back up. I had screen shots but the tech was trying to make me do different identities and didn't realize I wanted all my email in one stop.

But a miracle did happen for me. For the first time in my life I was able to import my email addy's!  Never has it worked before. I also got my bookmarks in OK.  Of course I was forgetting that xanga wouldn't recognize me without re-log in.

It is going to take me awhile to get around. I have to load so much back on. Plus figure out how to get my short cuts back on my desktop. Plus find my office program! lol I also have to figure out the new firewall because it asked no questions for what to block.

Oh and does anyone have a clue why the Windows wizard keeps trying to locate the hardware for an old printer I don't have?
