A check of this morning's news and I am beginning to think all the nutty people live in Calif. Example: "Woman Wants to Be Buried Next to Man She Killed"
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. _ A woman who is dying of cancer and was convicted of dousing her husband with gasoline and setting him on fire 21 years ago wants to be buried next to the man she killed.
Vadilla Spragin, 71, has liver cancer and has less than two months to live. Her stepdaughter, Sandra Spragin, said she was not against Vadilla's release from the California Institution for Women two weeks ago. Having her buried next to her father is another story.
"It's like a slap in the face to his memory that she be buried next to him," said Sandra Spragin, 42. "She plotted, planned and killed my dad."
Is that nuts or what?
I got up at 4 a.m. this morning and for some reason at 5 did not take my Neurontin for my leg, probably because it wasn't bad. I sat and read my scriptures in the new Message Bible. I think I prefer the Psalms in my old version. Then I read some of my Ideals and got sleepy. So I laid down on the couch.
What I didn't realize watching the CA election results was sure to put me back to sleep. Unfortunately I crossed my ankles for some reason. When I woke I had to wait awhile before I could attempt standing cause I knew I'd fall flat on my face otherwise.
Hub was home by then and grumbling something about Maria and friends running CA now.
Today in the pool maybe I can 'exercise' that left ankle more. I am going to slowly start with leg swings sideways before attempting the front to rear swing.
I need to clean church candlesticks and get those back. That will mean running the custodian down to plug in my hair dryer (plug is under altar) so that I can clean the plexiglass top. This wouldn't happen so much if they only used accolytes tall enough to reach the candle tops.
The few times I have seen those little kids in action it has scared the bejabbers out of me. Until they knock the candle over and start a fire nothing will be done to change height requirement.
Oh fiddle, I'm sorry -- didn't mean to grumble again. Think I'll go eat breakfast now and maybe the headache will also go away then.
Thanks for stopping by friends from the big journal.
Of course thanks to xanga friends too.
