| | Off to church by myself as hub worked all night and had to sleep. He passed off a story first of a 2 a.m. skinny dipper that scaled the locked gate to go swimming. I passed that story off to a few people and even the fact I forgot to ask where this inebriated customer put his room key card.
After lunch hub drove me back to Lytle to pick up my purchased picture and daughter's. I could not get him interested at looking at any picture! He sat while the ladies and I chatted as we went from room to room. I did drag him to one to see what was the first thing he saw when he looked at one picture. Wow like me he saw the lighthouse in the background. Daughter noticed the autumn leaves in the forefront.

This is my purchased picture. That is two kinds of lace decopauged on the edge. Only after it was off the wall and talking with Lois did I find out this is not on canvas. It is on an old cupboard door! You should of seen hubs face. $50 for a door he exclaimed! She told him it will last a whole lot longer than a canvas painting.
It looks really nice on the light living room paneling where I hung it. Right under a framed picture of my mom and dad when they were little. Fits right in with that gold frame that looks like an old frame.
I feel terribly sorry for my husband growing up without any culture whatever. Not art, nor music, nothing. Off to work at 12 yrs. of age selling the Pittsburgh paper to buy his school clothes. Now days it is give and give to kids, soccer, cheerleading, modeling, etc. Not so sure they will be better off.
(picture was painting done by a pool buddy) |
