| | Some of the regulars. Though I admit this week I haven't seen the pretty one on the left. But my eyes at 6 a.m.aren't really focused of late.
This morning the cats didn't stay out as long. Walked to get the drink of water for Charlie and that was about it.
Today I did 2 full laps in the pool. Takes me a long time to doggie paddle to the 12 ft. end. I was shocked to check sugar after my workout today and it was up! I attribute it to the fact breakfast was cereal, decaf, and one pita Greek flat bread. 1 slice is 35 grams of carb. At least I got 7 g. protein. These were left over from Sunday's Communion. Hope the birds enjoy the last one.
I have been watching the news trying to figure out 1. who leaked the story, 2. what group was working to flood the Holland Tunnel. Why hold a press conference when you can't give information due to an ongoing investigation?
So I switched to Court TV to see a mother is suing *Wal Mart for one of their employees fondling of her daughter. (he's a registered sex offender) As I watched the video of him following the 10 yr. old down the aisle I could well understand the child's fear even if he had 'just' (use that word lightly) touched her buttocks. She was probably more afraid due to his groping himself too. And just where were the persons monitoring the camera's? Probably couldn't figure out what he was up too.
I can still remember a Grandfather who came up behind me when I was around that age and fondled me. It was not pleasant, it was confusing to me, and erotic feelings though fleeting was even more confusing. I can even remember the striped top I was wearing and I also remember a mother who would not let me have a bra for 'those marbles'. It took a gym teacher's comment relayed to mom that finally got me my first bra. I can see her sneering face when she made her crack too. Of course it is easy to remember the many times of her disproving looks. I have to search for any joyful ones.
Had such a thing happened to me in a store my mother's response probably would be I asked for it as she once said women have the control and she didn't believe in the cries of rape. You can bet she never heard of any of the encounters I may have had.
It is still hard for children to be believed. We may listen to them but do we really hear them?
