| | It's 1:40 a.m. and most sensible people are sound asleep. But here I am, eyes mattery, nose stuffy, pnd enough to make me cough just often enough to finally get up. Generally when this happens I plop on the couch and with the TV on to lull me back into a form of sleep. Only problem is Charlie figures if I'm up it is time for them to take their morning backyard walk. Last evening as I settled in to watch the rare movie on the Bravo channel I was frightened up off the couch with two cats fighting. It was so close I thought it was ours and so fierce it did indeed scare me. Instead it was right up on the porch outside our front door. Oh yes it was the neighbors young skinny cat and that doggone one that has hung around quite often at night and early morning ours and probably the one nailing the mocking birds. When hub got home from class I told him to get ready as Tuesday night's the have a heart trap is going out and anything caught in it short of a skunk is going to be taken to Animal Care. I don't give a flip who it belongs too! This is not the country where animals can run at will. The country where farmers get really irated when city folk drop their not wanted pets off at their lanes. Thought I'd share a July photo while up. I find it interesting if I don't do anything but off load photo's the date and camera information remains intact. If I size it or rotate it that information is gone.
Today it is to get to 90, hopefully after we have finished the meal run. One of the following days it is to get to 94, but we are promised another cool front. Yesterday morning was 59 when we got up and by afternoon it hit 86 and we had our air conditioner on due to lack of breeze. Is it any wonder my sinus keep giving me trouble? Though while in nice temperature Oregon this summer I had a heck of a time with them too. I chalked that up to the wind that seemed rather constant. So while I said I'd like a summer home up there I'd probably have a struggle constantly with sinus. Yesterday I missed the pool to make the required visit in at general practioner's office to get the X-rays the neurosurgeon wants. He wasn't sure exactly what to order but figured both hips and lower back should do the trick. At this point about the only thing else that might be permitted would be a CT scan but since I have stopped the horrible spasms I had when calling for an appointment it would be hard to justify a scan. He suspects arthritis is at the root of the problem and told me not to stop the Mobic as I was saying I didn't think it was helping. I have stopped that on other occasions only to find in a couple days I had to get right back on it. I still think Celebrex was the best but the military pharmacy has pulled that one. When I look at my friend's hands I am thankful that mine are not in that condition. Reminds me of Grandma's hands. She would immerse them in parrafin if I recall correctly. I don't remember dad's mother having arthritis in her hands. I remember her complaining of "lumbago" though. My mother had to give up her piano due to arthritic hands. Well I have to go check some email and blogs and journals and already I feel like I need to stretch out my body. Had I a hot tub I bet I'd spend a lot of time in it. Well on second thought with my themometer being out of whack since menopause I doubt that too. |
