Though it has been drizzly all day and storms are expected tonight I have done fairly well with the arthritis stuff.  Though Charlie H.kept hitting my feet and calves in the pool this morning. (Wilma says I need calcium-- then why haven't I had cramps all along?)

Wil's stamp catalog came in the other day. I did not know that the post office finally has a spay/neuter stamp! Came out this year.

So I sent him off to buy a sheet and am threatening to use that for our Christmas stamp this year. I joined a group pushing for this a few years ago. Now I need to find the link on my web page and update that information.

But which page is it on? http://mizbee.tripod.com/The_Cat_House.htm

or http://chatbon.home.texas.net/pets.htm

or neither?

I wish there was a way to get through the mentality around here that a female has to have a litter first and a male never! (you get the distinct feeling the owner thinks you are castrating him).

Our neighbors have not neutered their rotweiler because they want to stud him and make money.

The  dog is in poor coat condition, probably now unvaccinated, had no training and no socialization. He was plopped in the back yard as a watch dog. (Few if any people are going to climb over the 6 ft. high chain link fence to get in that house anyway).

Why don't people have a conscious about the number of animals killed on streets and in pounds in this country? Let alone the bad pet owners and their treatment of the offspring their dog will produce.

End of rant!  Have a great weekend, see you in church Sunday.

Why does a female have to have a litter?    And about getting in an RV and cruising the country.   Are you keepin' Mema for us while we do that??

Some people believe in an old myth that a female dog or cat has to have a litter before they are spayed. Usually heard with dog owners. I have no idea why but I suspect they think that socializes the dog more.

Put a tv on to ballgames and Mema would never know she wasn't at home, would she?

Somewhere I once heard the bit, "If having babies was up to men the world would have much fewer people."
