Slow this morning

6:32 a.m. and computer says 42 degrees yet TV weatherman says we dropped to 38.  Who to believe?

Chandler is fussing to go out, now he can see it is dark yet. I bet they don't wander all over the place when they do get out. They may as it doesn't sound as windy as yesterday. Both cats chose the couch for their daily napping time. Guess it was too cold down on the floor.

First time this year I had a sweatshirt on all day. Pool water didn't feel cold once I got in and completely wet. But the air above the pool was chilly. I just didn't work very well and was out in 30 minutes. Now I am taking my Flintstones with Iron so why am I dragging?

Today's agenda is to take my camera and follow Sister Vega as she shops. Oh wait, I can only take her picture as she loads. Dare not take the camera into the Commissary as the aisles aren't going to be empty of people. Plus the store may be like another store here and not allow picture taking inside. I guess while they start I could go ask.

Once back to Jireh House I can find a place to capture unloading process. I want to document this project and make a poster for our church members to see. They contributed over $900 to feed the 65 families she has on the list.

Yesterday the church Secretary called and she had a call from a Councilman, could we use 20 turkey's? Would of been nice to know this earlier and she had gotten word earlier. Our part time worker called yesterday and we had to make an extra trip for staples the Sunday School kids had brought in. Love the efficient (sp) employees.

Tomorrow I will go photograph the packing of boxes and Monday the distribution of them.

I bet they would let you take pictures, if you explained why you are doing it.  But, who knows nowadays?  That is a wonderful project, and you are going above and beyond by putting up the photo poster.  Know your congregation will appreciate it.  Have fun!

So good of you folks to do this!!!   I'd sure ask the folks at the store, as you go in, if they care if you take pictures.  Sure would be nice to have them in the church file, for reference, in future years, or on a poster for this year, for folks to see.

RYC:  In order to protect my fingers, and the knife edges at the same time, I took a cardboard....about the thickness of card stock, and made a sleeve, using the cardboard and scotch tape,  to fit the sharp knive blades into, then stored them.  Takes less space than wrapping them in a towel.  Then you could store them in a drawer, or a tall crock type container.  Upstairs, I have them in a drawer.  In the basement kitchen, I have them in the crock.  ::giggle::  Boy, I'll bet you're just OVERJOYED to know all this.     Good luck with your shopping, Kiddo.    GrannyH

It has been cool here the last few mornings too. I'm glad it's not hot but I don't like the cold. Thanks for the offer for the fall header. I think you made me one last year-I just havent had time to put it up-I will try to do that later today, but thanks anyway.
