Should of put the link to Lost Maples up for you. Go here. They have a handicap area I believe, but I don't expect to even get to go there. Hub is not interested in nature. Now if nature carried or batted or dropped a ball he might be. Today is meal delivery, list is very short but I need to go as I have an altar cloth to gather afterwards. Hopefully I can get it to the cleaners around the corner. Sometimes I'm starving and we come straight home. This morning I did a rare breakfast for us. Fried up some bacon, scrambled some eggs and a slice of toast. So hub opened the new can of coffee and perked a pot. Now we are trying to figure out if it is really necessary to keep the can in the refrigerator. Anyone know? Here is son decked out in his hiking jacket that only a very strong shouldered person could wear. That is an honest to goodness wood walking stick. He got it I think on Ebay. Can you imagine that coming in the mail? I think that is the sassafrass one he is holding.
He hikes often by himself on days off. Usually 3 miles or more. He's into Geocaching and sends me images of his treks. Determined to not end up out of shape like his parents I guess. Now if he would just get around to advertising for help in the office. It is a problem as he is a 'perfectionist' like someone else I know. He needs someone that knows irrigation and computer stuff called CAD. He says usually guys know one or the other. Irrigators don't want to work in an office and computer persons don't know irrigation parts. His firm designs irrigation set ups. Huge projects. Son has no college degree. He started out in landscape duties at Sea World as a young man. Got into design of landscapes and became a certified irrigator (TX requires they be licensed). Took several courses and on the job and now is a partner in the CA firm that just opened this office in Austin. He has worked in Houston, Chicago and San Diego and is glad to be back in TX. Didn't like the earthquakes or the prices in San Diego. His goal is to buy a house. I'm glad he is only about an hour away. Our daughter gets her Masters Dec. 9th and we are pleased with her. She has paid for her education all the way, with help in later years from the company. I can never remember exactly what it is in but it has to do with instructional stuff that will be very useful in the company she works for. She designs the classes for them and they contract out too, and her job is extremely high stress, as is anyone's who works for that company. Honest they have a reputation for the stress their employee's have. Pay is good though. They have farmed out a lot of work and folks just wait for the next department to be eliminated. So you can see after saying that why I am not telling you the company name. She also is a perfectionist. Sometimes I have to wonder if teaching our kids to give their best to an employer was the best idea. On the other hand maybe if more kids had been taught such bosses everywhere would have an easier time. Since coming on the net I quickly learned what some people do when they are supposed to be working. Well I have to get dressed for meals. It is to get to 81 this afternoon but this morning is humid and windy so I will probably where jeans and my clod hoppers. |
