Monday Monday...

I was so thirsty this morning plus I had to take a full glass with the Fosamax and I ended up with decaf after cereal, and a frap before I left. Is it any wonder I only got 29 and a half minutes in the pool?

Out at 2 p.m. so they could put the monitor in my abd for 48 hrs. I was interested to learn that the One Touch meters have yet to be approved by the FDA. I was joking around about the screwy way they put the strip in the top so you have to then turn the meter around to read it. The only thing I like about that meter is the speed in which it reads. Still like my Accu Chek. Strip in the bottom, look straight away at the number.

The sun is out, weather is beautiful and I'm sleepy. Rotten shoulders bothered me all night! I did check and yes if I choose steriod injections I'm out of the study. So maybe another round of acupuncture is due. Would help if I didn't goof and do something that irritates shoulders.

Trying to reach Heartland to get paticulars about meeting the van carrying Uncle for his doctor appointment Friday. Line is busy, try to call Uncle's room, line is busy. No sense trying to call Aunt as she won't know and she will have to be reminded we are taking on that 'job'. Well if hub see's me using 'we' he'll say "are you pregnant or do you have a mouse in your pocket?"  Wonder where that saying comes from.

So I'm gonna go sit in the recliner and take a nap since calls are going no where. Some day I'll remember to get the number at the nurses station. Like I think anyone will be around to answer it!

I spent a good amount of time today trying to find out if a prescription was ready for me.   Guess the whole HMO phone system was messed up.    I'd dial a number and it'd ring and ring,  and finally the phone company would come out with the bit, "Your call did not go through."     A few I got were so garbled I couldn't undertstand them,   I finally got a live body who looked on the computer and told me that I had picked up a prescription on Feb. 28th, and I told her, "Yeah, I picked that  one up already."   After yakking a bit she finally said, "Well I'll call over there and see if you have one in."    She came back on the line after while and told me that it was in.   I begged her on bended knee to please give me the phone number she had for my pharmacy and she pulled the old one,  "Sorry,  I'm not allowed to give that one out."         Grrr,  I'll bet that was the only one to that pharmacy that was working today !

Well, that makes me feel secure about my One Touch meter. Whyever did my dr. recommend it? Maybe he doesn't know that either?

My mom gets irritated at the Fossamax routine too. I think she would like it better if she had to drink a whole cup of coffee instead. lol

Hope your shoulder is feeling better by now.
