Sense of humor Daughter missed her brother's birthday in March, so this got sent to him, his office fish. I just cracked up hearing about it but to get the picture really did it. He bought the fish. I think she said it's name is office fish.
I am struggling with her to make her understand we don't need Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts. She's on a compulsive buying spree I think. She wants to make her dad a shadow box of things from his military career, like pictures and his badge. I guess she forgot our wall space isn't. I told her anything on the wall by the kitchen can't stick out, I stagger a lot. I knocked a plaque of his off the wall so many times it couldn't be fixed. I wanted to go have another made, he didn't care that Sea World had given it to him after so many years of employment. Well the State Farm inspector came. Our roof is fine, though he did suggest a little more sealent around the furnace chimney. Or should I say vent? This isn't a chimney. Our friend got up there and did that while hub was at the store today. Learned our insurance rate for wind/hail damage is now $750 deductible. The company decided we pay 1% more and those down around the coast are stuck with 2% unless you live within a mile of the coast then they won't insure you at all. But we wait now to find out when the new air conditioner/furnace set up goes in. They added freon and sealed some leaks hoping that will hold us until then. I put a towel on top of the furnace to catch the water that is coming from the dripping coil rusted out pan. I knew last year this was going to happen and hub wanted to wait one more year. One more year the units will probably double in price! So I guess the storm was a blessing in disquise. I hope poor blind Charlie doesn't get frightened with the noise. I also hope this unit holds until they can get to it. Note: I notice xanga is counting stars given. Isn't it a shame I disabled mine? Just think of all the teeny boppers I will miss. |
