| | OK I stood out in the dark but the light shining on the Nativity made it glare. This one I took at dusk and worked perfectly. Still enough light in the grey sky. I used the night setting on my camera.
Our oak tree makes it hard to capture the entire front no matter where I stand. I have some good shots of the neighbors house though. My husband couldn't figure out what was behind the blue tree. My hand decorated old mail box, that's what. Of course the camera was sitting on the tripod, something you really need for night shots. I seem to only use the tripod at Christmas. This is the tree behind the angel. I love the way he put the lights on it this year. Found out he added a string. He won't use more than 3 strings together, recommendation on the strings too.
Rather hard to tell here but the windmill sits in front of the crepe myrtle tree. Today it has turned cold and the rain is almost like sleet when it hits you. I had to go out to Bible study at noon and it was just plain cold by then. I stayed after to help stuff the little 'welcome' bags being assembled for Christmas Eve and then thereafter for visitors. Of course I left early to get a fast food meal to eat before hand and one of the ladies brought sandwhich making stuff they had after. I didn't know about that as I'm not in any of their Sunday School classes. I assume that is how they knew she was bringing something. They asked for donations for cookies for after services Christmas Eve as well. So far on the Sock Tree we have not met last year's number. Sunday perhaps more will come in and I told pastor they can drop them at the Null Bldg. up until the 20th. We have to deliver them the 21st. Perhaps next year I'll start the middle of Nov. Oh wait, that is when the plea for turkey's starts. |
