Home from church, open a few windows just for fresh air. Nice day, hope the clouds remain for sunset.

After lunch I plopped in the recliner and turned to the Discovery Channel. Read paper during commercials. Crappy old headache joined the back ache.

Came back to check email. Man the cow parade pictures have gone over well. You can click here as they will be a temporary thing. Don't want to get locked out of this server too.

I was asked to 'water' poinsettia's at church Saturday. I wasn't thinking, I can't bend over and they will be sitting on the floor!  If I still had barbeque tongs I could pick the ice cubes up with those.

Yes this group puts ice cubes in them and some places say don't do that. Has yet to cause any damage that I can see.

I was also asked to do the Opening of worship next Sunday eve. for the Hanging of the Greens. Not many people show up for that service so I shouldn't get stage fright.

Thanksgiving day I don't have to do anything but heat the already cooked turkey daughter is bringing in from her place of employment cafeteria. Daughter is going to do the mashed potatoes. Bet I get stuck with the dishes.

An apple and sweet potato pie will also be coming in from the cafeteria. I'll thaw out some zuchini bread and we have the fruit cake from Corsicana TX to put out. Oh and I want Pillsbury cresent rolls but haven't bought them yet.

I used to make egg nog, but now with the salmonella scares we will have to buy it since we are having our friend as a guest. This is her first holiday without her husband. A rough time for widows and widowers.

Have a blessed holiday at your house.

I loved the cows, too. We had a county wide project like that here, a couple of years ago, but they were huge angels. Artists painted them and they were placed in different locations all over the county. I wish I could've taken pictures of them back then.

We've got cows like that over here in London too.  They looked very peculiar at first in the city streets, but now people seem to have got used to them.  I assume the ice cubes are intended to give gradual watering rather than all in one go?  Tom
