This year I have tried to eat really healthy. Some days it has worked and some days it has bombed. Today I am not sure. I seem to be superfooded out really. This is what I had this morning:

6.00am: Hot water and lemon (apparently this is meant to "sweep out the bowels" in preparation for the day)

6.30am Nettle tea (same effects as above apparently)

6.50am Six Medjool dates (these are the ultimate complete food. Apparently you can live on these as they supply your body with everything you need)

7.00am Organic carrot juice with ginger with a royal jelly pellet (for rejuvenation) and siberian gingseng for something or other and then an alfafa pellet for something else.I put some sprillia (a kind of algae) into the second carrot juice

I really feel a bit sick

I wonder if we should only have one superfood per day.

I am now drinking yogi tea for some other health reason.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm

  • Well, Christmas is finally upon us and I have been preparing my Christmas Cards.  I don't really "do" Christmas cards, between you and me (secretly) I cannot be arsed, but when I receive cards, I smile sweetly and say "how lovely, thank you. I don't usually do Christmas cards, I'm a Buddhist".

My sister on the other hand, is heavily involved with the Church and receives about 150 cards a year. Sometimes she receives cards from people she doesn’t really know and she anguishes over whether she has sent them cards back. So, I thought that I would give her something to worry about this Christmas.

I asked my work colleagues, John, Kevin and Ruth to help out and write my sister and her husband some cards with sweet messages in it. My sister and her brov-in-law don’t know my work colleagues.

Here are the messages they sent:

John in his card put something like:

“I couldn’t have done it without you. The cast is coming off thankfully love John”

    Kevin wrote

“To Christine and Richard (My sister’s name is Cathy)

“To our eternal friendship and throwing snowballs love Kevin”

And Ruth wrote a separate card to my brov-in-law

“Richard, so looking forward to seeing you on the 12th. Bunty is coming love Ruth”

That should stuff them up, give ‘em something extra to worry about over Christmas

    Love B

It is winter here in London and we are fast approaching the winter solstice – and I really feel my life being pulled towards the depths of winter – in rhythm with the season.  I kind of feel like my life is hibernating.

Funny, T S Eliot likes winter. In The Wasteland talks about winter being warm, shielding us from life:

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding

Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing

    Memory and desire, stirring

    Dull roots with spring rain.

    Winter kept us warm, covering

    Earth in forgetful snow, feeding

A little life with dried tubers.

I guess that’s what I feel like at the moment. A dried tuber pulsating a little life.

Yesterday I went shopping for Tomi. She gave me a bit of a list for my German trip. Wasn’t sure how many people a Christmas pudding would serve (my directive was 6) so involved quite a few of the shoppers in Tescos as to their opinion on how many people the Tescos Christmas pud would serve. Not one of them concurred – one bloke said that the pudding was just enough for him, one skinny bird-like women said it would feed 10 – so I haven’t a flippin’ clue.

Had a hilarious time trying to find hair gel. Tomi’s direction was gel for her hair, “dark and lovely” with a red top. Anyway, went to an afro-caribbean hair product shop in Finsbury Park and managed to involve all the available shop staff and the manager in this quest for this red topped hair gel. Had to text Tomi a few times and my phone, with text was passed round the staff as they puzzled as to what product Tomi could possibly be referring to. Tomi’s last directive was “something to slick it back” and we finally settled on “Dark and Lovely – quick styling get” – purple top, not red by the way. I left with the manager sending Tomi his very best.  I think we brightened up their day.

Johney and I went out for an early supper in China town last night. Cheep and according to Johney “not so cheerful” – I didn’t notice the clientele, but Johney was quite vocal about the “chavs” who would apparently eat their meal with fags dribbling out of their mouths… I don’t think we are going back there again.  It was cheap though.

    Anyway, will now sign off

    Ttyl as Zane would say
