Do you have the true gospel?

 How can you tell whether or not you have the true gospel?

Paul gives you three tests. 

 First, the source of the gospel. Where did it come from? God gave it. It is direct and divine revelation. The gospel is authenticated by its source.

Secondly, by its salvation. Any gospel that is not the gospel of grace is not the true gospel. You can’t beg it. You can’t buy it. You can’t borrow it. You can’t steal it. You can’t earn it. It was bought by Christ on the cross. It is the supernatural work of God.

The third test is its subject. It is the grace of Christ. Jesus is the subject. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is all about Jesus.

       “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8

Some think they can not go to God unclean or are just messed up so bad He would not want them and stay away or try to hide as they cover themselves with "good works" to show they are worthy of his love . No one can make themselves Holy only God can do that ! Holiness is God's gift of grace . The only way to WIN Holiness is to SURRENDER to it ! See and remember this ----Exodus31:13

 13 .........know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

and this ------------- Leviticus 20:8

 8 ................. I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

and do not forget ---- Leviticus 22:32

32 ............. I am the LORD, who makes you holy

 Isaiah tells us that " 6 All of us have become like one who is unclean,
       and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
       we all shrivel up like a leaf,
       and like the wind our sins sweep us away. " Isaiah 64

 Remember Adam and Eve's attempt to cover them selves with the fig leaves ? It's like our own attempts at Holiness , both are poor efforts to cover our sin ! True Holiness of God required the payment in the perfect blood of God's perfect Lamb ,His Son Jesus our Christ , only then can we be clothed in real righteousness - HIS !

 Hebrews 2

 11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.

 God is not the Father of all people !

 The phrase, “The universal fatherhood of God and the universal brotherhood of men”? It sounds warm and fuzzy, but it is cold and barren of truth. God is not the Father of all people; God is the Father of those who are born into His family. But you say, “But, Pastor, didn’t God create all human beings?” Yes. “And if God created all human beings, wouldn’t that make God the Father of all human beings?” No, it makes God the Creator of all human beings. There’s a difference between fatherhood and creation. God created rats, roaches, buzzards, and rattlesnakes. He’s not their father. God becomes our Father not by creation but by conception when we’re born into His family. This is from Adrain Rogers ( LWF.org ) .

 Here are some things to do while you think about God . Read the story of creation in Genesis — making the distinction between the creations of God and the Creator called God. Go on a nature walk and thank God that He rules over creation causing the sun to shine, the rain to water the earth, and for you to have your next breath .
