| Baby #2Hello
all. I had my first OB appointment on Friday. It went really well. Brian
and LittleMam and I got to see the baby and hear and see the heartbeat. It
was pretty cool. I told Little Mam that she gets to see the baby on the TV.
So when the doctor pulled the monitor over she said "baby!". It was
cute. The baby was moving a lot so it was hard to hear the heart for
very long but the heart rate was 128 bpm. I am due on February 25th.
The doctor said everything looks great. I do have a slightly tilted
uterus though so she said I might have a lot of pressure in my back.
Also, she said at 20 weeks I'll be receiving weekly injections of
progesterone to help me not go into pre-term labor and end up in the
hospital or on bed rest. But with the injections, the ultrasounds being
billed separately, my vitamins, lab work, etc, I'll most likely be
meeting my $5000 deductible before the year is up. Which means when I
give birth in 2009 I'll have a whole other $5000 to pay for hospital
bills! So it's a little scary right now trying to figure out how on
earth we are going to do this. But I know that God will provide for us.
Little Mam had fun at the appointment for the most part. She got a
lollipop and a balloon made from a glove. She also got to play with the
blood pressure cuff and with a red ball while I had my blood drawn. The
doctor even gave her, her very own picture of her baby brother or
sister. she was very excited and held on to it for the whole visit and
drive back home. I have included a labeled picture from the ultrasound.
I hope you all enjoy seeing baby # 2.

| This was fun!

Now I used a different picture of Alaina

Two out of three 'aint bad!

| Little Mam's first New Mexico trip! This is trip #1 to New Mexico. We flew in almost last minute to
surprise Sam for her bridal shower. We'll be back in two weeks for our
originally scheduled trip for Sam and uncle "bird"'s wedding.
Alaina and I flew to visit grandma Terri. Alaina was very excited about
going on a plane after I told her we couldn't walk to see grandma.
Needless to say she really likes taking walks.
This is Little Mam on the airplane showing off her sunglasses.

We had just arrived at grandma and granddad's house and were getting ready to go to church.

After church Alaina played on the stairs and mommy hung out with aunt Sarah

It didn't take long for my family to corrupt my poor beautiful child, lol.

Alaina even got granddad in on the action

Look at that mischievous face. I'm actually surprised that she wasn't mad that the "juice" wouldn't come out, lol.

Alaina got to go to the zoo with grandma, granddad, aunt Sarah, and mommy

Alaina saw ducks.

She saw seals and sea lions too!

She even saw giraffes and lions.

But one of her favorite things at the zoo was this rock. So we had to
sit on it and take pictures. She also learned to say "cactus" and not
to touch them.

Alaina had fun with her aunt Sarah too (once mommy was out of sight out of mind)

She had fun playing at her grandparents' house too.

She found grandma's shirt and decided to wear it and then started posing for us, lol. Silly girl!

We found a lot of fun things to play with at a furniture store.

She even decided to take her shoes off and stay a while.

Grandma helped her put her shoes back on in a chair more her size

Then grandma and Alaina found some silly sunglasses and "hats"

Then Alaina found a nice comfy bed to rest on after all of this play time.

We also went to the mall where Alaina got new "yogurt" shoes from
grandma and got to ride on a caterpillar. We call these her yogurt
shoes because when she saw them in the store she began shouting
"yo-dirt" because she recognized Dora the Explorer on the shoes from
her yogurt cups.

Alaina got to meet my cousin, Eric, for the first time as well. We went
to Chilis for his goodbye lunch for work before he moves to England.
We'll miss you, Eric!

She was being a little ham at the restaurant.

This is what happens when she takes her ponytail holder out.

Alaina loved to play in the sand at the park and go "weeeee" (aka- go down the slide)

Alaina also got to go to the foothills of the mountains. My lens was
smudged and it was dusty and windy so the pictures didn't come out
very well.

She wore grandma's jacket and was too cute!

Alaina enjoyed looking over Albuquerque or "kur-key" as she calls it.
She also picked up a small lava rock while here and named it "kur-key"
too.

At aunt Sam's dress fitting Alaina had a blast climbing on things and
looking at herself in all of the big mirrors. And as I was typing this
I realized I never got a picture of Alaina with Sam

Here we are at church again. We played outside because Little Mam decided church service needed to be talked and played through We also accidentally left her shoes in the sanctuary, lol. Ahhh...good times!

Please ignore my goofy face, lol.

Alaina really liked this bench.

This is on our way back home in the St.Louis airport. Little Mam found
this large rocking chair and it kept her entertained for a while.

| Alaina and the bunnyI FINALLY got the picture of Alaina with the bunnies. They cut one of
the bunnies out of the photo but at least she's holding one of them.

Also, My husband's grandmother sent me this picture of me and Alaina
and I thought it was so funny because something got messed up in the
film and turned Alaina's hair bright orange. Then I used the red eye
fixer to turn it green. So for my own amusement, here are those photos
too.

| Silly Little MamaAlaina lined all of her baby dolls and stuffed animals up and put them in the stair rails. I helped her to get them to stay put but she did the rest by herself. She was also playing peek-a-boo with me. Here are the resulting photos.
