I'd guess the Basie concert was from the late 30s since Jimmy Rushing is so prominently featured. Yes, I'd love to see that  FDR ballot! :D

Well, Steve just told me the ad came from the middle of a newspaper from April of 1945 with a headline declaring "The War Is Over!" Unfortunately, he doesn't have the rest of the paper with him right now to get the exact date.
