Wonderful Moments

The feeling of...
...the wheel of a fast car at your fingertips.
...an open country road ahead.
...the warm sun on your skin.
...the cool a/c blowing through your hair.
...singing along with "I'm Going to Walk by Faith..."

A Wonderful Moment

Strawberries and Green Lights and White Bread

I like writing. I like reading. I like thinking. I like relaxing. I love my life, it's so wierd. God is so amazing! Today was wonderful!

Wonderful Friends!
I hope you are acquainted with the fact that I love my car. It's because I have so many very heart-searching conversations with my Lord over that particular piece of machinery. Every time I even think of driving somewhere, I always pray. Pray that it starts, pray that it keeps going, and pray that it starts when I want to leave wherever I went.  (if it didn't, I guess I'd just pray for grace, and then pray for a friend to be just as benevolent as the friend who helped me on Friday.)
The Second Coming?
This morning, I planned on going to a church up north, but it looked like the Jesus had come back or something... The parking lot was so empty... I'm not sure what the deal was, but I ended up going to Ms. Linda's church. What fun!   Oh my word! It was highly interesting!  I had an extremely memorable time worshipping with that energized group of believers.
Bliss
Back at the TC, I had the delight of sleeping or reading for the rest of the afternoon.
White Bread
This evening I went to the store (I felt like the old woman in the nursery rhyme who went to give her dog a bone, but when she opened the cabinet much to her horror, there was nothing but a homely spider. Except in my case there was no dog, and if there had been a spider I would have killed it immediately.)
I quickly began securing the needed items and was heading down the bread isle on my way to the produce when the skyscraper-bread-stacker stood blocking the path. The nice man that was restocking the white bread that is like 90% air and 10% processed flour, turned just in time to see my quizzical look. (I was trying to find the right words to ask him if I could obtain passage through the blocked isle.) The big burly man came at me with a loaf of the nastiness in each of his hands. (Forgive me any of you who actually like eating the tasteless off-white substance that some call white bread.) I didn't know what to do!!!! What would you have done? I wildly accepted a loaf of white bread, which seemed to be the password to the gate, because he thoughtfully moved aside and let me pass. So I have a whole loaf of white bread in my cabinet now, to help me remember... err... to avoid bread isles being stocked by Goliath-looking-too-helpful men!
Green Lights
One of the highest delights of the last few days is my time of thinking. I love thinking, trying to find what my feelings are about certain subjects such as: Anger, money, peace, relationships, the body of Christ, my future, etc. But tonight I decided to try to cease from such deep thinking while driving.
I came to a light and naturally stopped, because that what you do at streetlights, correct? Well, I was headed East and all of the sudden after I had been sitting at the light for probably about ten full seconds, I realized that there was a car heading West that went by me, as I sat at the light. Hmmm, the passing car pulled me out of my deep thought and brought my attention to the "red" light that he had just run. It wasn't red. I had stopped, and stayed stopped at a green light for who knows how long. Sigh, the dangers of serious contemplation.
Strawberries
Strawberries have to be one of the most heavenly morsels available to mankind for ingestion. Manna meant "What is it?", and I firmly believe that strawberries should mean, "This is IT!" Tonight eating strawberries, angel food cake and whipped topping, while drinking orange juice (orange juice?!? you may say, but it was actually a nice combination) was enchanting. Strawberries, friendship, midnight, spastic music, growling air-conditioning unit, life lessons, and prayer. Ahh, the delights of life.

Well, this is a really long post. I'd better go.

Have an absolutely wonderful Memorial Day!

I'm giving myself five minutes to update in the midst of studying... I like pictures so I'm posting a picture even though it doesn't relate to anything

This is the amazing bouquet of flowers that my parents sent me just because they love me. (and to congratulate me on passing another test.) I actually look normal in this picture just in case anyone thinks the Esmarelta picture was anything close to what I actually look like. Those flowers encouraged me during a VERY hard day/week of my life... It is so amazing to me how God chooses to do that... send just what I need entirely out of the blue... My God is phenomenal! ...just for the record...

Meet Esmarelta

Ben and Amanda came up with the most amazing game for Friday night!!! It was so much fun! This is me playing my part as Esmarelta the gypsy. It was a blast and I learned so much... some people are good liars, some people are okay liars, and some people are amazing liars...(I'm not any of the above, I told the truth the whole time!)

Sorry, I have my eyes closed, it's a bad picture... but it was fun!
