  • As I stepped up on the tee of the 4th hole, I could see the pin glaring down on me. No matter how intimidating it looked, I decided to claim victory. I took one last look at the pin before my tee off. 'This is going to be good,' I thought to myself. Adapting myself physically to the condition of the ground and wind, I swiftly lifted up my 4 iron. Down it came with at monstrous velocity, as a bear's claw about to strike. Despite the powerful swing, the ball did not fly straight. It slowly curved to the right, almost aiming for the woods. Then it landed. On the rough. Then luckily, it bounced and came in nearer to the fairway.  I sighed in relief and began walking towards my ball. As I approached closer and closer, I realized that my ball went farther than I thought. In fact, the distance was perfect. Only if the direction had been right, then it could have been as close as 2 feet to the pin. I picked up my pitching iron for my second shot. 'Gotta get it close,' I told myself. Swoof~ The club head sliced through the top of the grass and gently lifted my ball off the ground. It was too late, however, when I realized that I had hit too hard. It rolled across the entire green and stopped outside a couple feet away from the edge of the green. I seemed to have started the 'back-and-forth game' again. For my third shot, as I drew my pitching iron once more, I decided to remember what my dad had taught me. As the club hit the ball, I knew it was a good one. From the other side of the green, I could hear my dad yelling, "It's going in! It's going in!" And what do you know? The ball got sucked into the hole as if it was a planet passing by a black hole. This moment felt to me like a sweet quality swiss milk chocolate. It was like finding a treasure long searched for. Tonight, I was the king of the golf course. No, the world.
