"On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed."Thomas Jefferson to Supreme Court Justice William Johnson, June 12, 1823

Back from Virginia.  Sahan and Julie had a great wedding.  It was some sort of new style Christian first and then Persian.  I think the Persian style is far nicer--everyone who could understand the farsi was laughing a lot and hard.  Sahan's father is a funny guy.  Sahan actually acted like a real man which was nice to see.  And his wife was gorgeous and had apparently been practicing how to dance to Persian music!  hahaha  There was a belly dancer and everything--she remembered me from the last time I was in DC and didn't even bother to try to get me to dance this time, heh.

Most hated and most oft repeated phrase directed at me by seemingly everyone this weekend: "We will come to your wedding next!"  My response: "Still working on the whole 'dating' thing at the moment."
