"On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed."Thomas Jefferson to Supreme Court Justice William Johnson, June 12, 1823

Well, I got home a while ago and walked to my room.  I had something in my teeth so I went into my restroom to get some floss.  And fun times ensued.  The floor was wet.  Nothing was leaking anywhere (including the ceiling, heh), but there was water all over the toilet.  And water in the tub (toilet is close to the tub).  It looked like water shot out of the toilet bowl at some point while I was at Erin's (for about four hours).  So, yeah, my toilet exploded.  What is the deal with my apartment complex and water issues?  My last apartment flooded.  Now I have a wet bathroom and a am scared to flush the thing.  I can work on toilets all day long, but I'm going to go ahead and say this is probably a water pressure problem, not a toilet problem.

There was seriously water ALL OVER my bathroom.

Sorry about your water problem. I thought I'd remembered reading about problems with that in a previous apartment you'd lived in. The ocean is great fun, I am jealous of you folks who get to frequent it whenever you feel like it. It sure is a cool experience!

that's what you get for living so close to sea level, I like to call it bernoulli's revenge. Seriously though, that happened to me once at my parents' house, but it came through the shower drain too, and because they had a septic system it wasn't just water.

in other news: lower should be here any day now...
