Staff meeting this morning to discuss more Flex Time and the Quality of Work Life Survey. Blah! We have "work toxicity" up the wazoo, which just means that nobody feels work is distributed evenly and people like to whine. Apparently, I'm one of those
No kickball game tonight, only practice. I'll skip practice and go pump it up at the gym instead.
Boigers (burgers) tonight for a belated Labor Day celebration.
I hope another Scrabble match is on the agenda (hopelessly addicted, this one is), although Evan and I might go see movies for fifty cents each instead. I'll have to check out tonight's schedule.
Must. Read. More. Kool-Aid. It's a fun book, and I'm finally getting used to its quirkiness. I mean, I guess I was used to it, but it's sometimes hard to follow when every word is placed where it is to evoke a certain trippy feeling. At night, it's hard to pay so much attention... but at the same time, when I finish a chapter I want more!
Applying for Dayton jobs. Like a maniac. Anybody know of any good editing jobs? Or customer service jobs that pay decently?

I did a lot of editing today. It makes time go by really quickly, or at least it did today.
My dear, so organized with numbers and such. As for work - you're looking for better; gym - is good (icecream is better); why belated? Do you play Text Twist on Yahoo - just started getting into it - for me more than frustrating but it is so thrilling to get the 6 letter words!!; I don't think I'd like Kool-Aid; I'd become way too impatient and lose my temper ... give me something that races my eyes across the pages :) Finished rereading the first three of five Magical Mancer Novels by Don Callander this weekend - can't find the last two!!!!! Now Ms. Emily don't just go for any job that pays great - you don't want to be miserable. :) you're adoreable. Hope you have a good evening.
glad I'm not the only one who gets toxic at work. thanks for sharing the poem - it's really quite good, no disclaimer needed at all. Yes. You must. Continue. Read Koolaid. Then, go read something Ken Kesey wrote himself. Good luck with the job hunt!
I fear there may be no cure for work toxicity. I know it all too well. And I need more Scrabble in my life.
Feh. Work toxicity is about turf wars, cross-cut priorities, and people letting others roast because it's "not on their agenda". And gossip. Loads of it--about who's worst at their jobs, and why. Work's uneven everywhere. The day you can't get what YOU need because HE decides he has OTHER things to do, and it costs you a deadline, come to me. Feh.
Work toxicity, indeed. I heard all about that one. Ouch.
Dayton? That's where I live! ooooh... til May, that is. So.. hurry up.
RYC: I'm glad you've outgrown haterism. I really am.
Dear Emily,
Just stopping by to say hello. Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, so probably don't want to read any long comments from me. Take care.
