    What's Going On?

I went and saw Stomp! last night with the Romes and their roommate/music guru/Firefly fanatic, Adam, after a round of sushi at Pacific East.  Mr. Rome got cheap tickets from his work, so I got to see a few of the residents and one faculty doctor from UH's Family Medicine.  It was good times.  Dan and Anne were fun to see.  Dr. Keaton is getting older, but Dr. Gaglioti is as cute as ever.

Going to my final fitting tonight before taking a long weekend.  Only one problem I see - they never gave me my veil!  I called them yesterday, and they told me, "Well, it should have been in your dress bag."  Well, it wasn't.  I'll look inside my dress when I pick it up today.  Otherwise, I'll talk to Rosebud, my fantastic saleslady.  I'll try not to get angry, but I may have to break out the crying thing if it doesn't go my way.  I know that this one is not my mistake.  I've made enough of those lately; I'm not really due for another one until after the wedding (I hope).  I had a decent crying session this weekend, so it's unlikely that I've saved up enough stress and sadness to just burst into a feminine fit, if necessary.  One can only hope.

I was walking from Egypt... err, Little Italy this morning from my car to my job, and I saw this fresh-faced home-grown little freshman riding his unicycle to class.  I thought it was the coolest thing ever!  I can't wait until "they" make that Jetsons-type machine where it's a bike or a scooter that then shrinks down to fit in your purse or pocket.  Boy, would that make life easier

Sorry for the flakiness this morning.  I need some Head and Shoulders (or T-Gel) for my blog.  I haven't *made* the time to think deep thoughts... still just "grokking" over Just Be.  That and thinking shallow thoughts of what to buy and how to secure a job.

Sincerely, though, I love you all.  I'm reading you when I can!

    Dear Emily,

I certainly hope you find your veil. Don't get married without it!

    grokking"  ???

Emily, thanks for the help.  I don't know how the damn font changes from word to Xanga -- Or size or whatever changes between there and here.  All the weird spacing.  But I don't think it's just visual.  I think you spotted an empty place where more stuff needs to be.  Forgot I had a dr's appt so will do it later.  Thanks again for your good eye.

I've never actually seen someone ride a unicycle...how odd!

Good getting your veil, it's probably good you half-way know that saleslady.

You leave the best comments, often poetic, sometimes quite intellectual, always insightful, they are like a fresh breeze, some perfume from the wild flower patch...

I like the veil story, and the image of the freshman on the bike, and wrapping a bike or scooter up and putting it into your purse as you make your way up big stone steps to school or work, ah, sigh.
