  Good conversations abound, with siblings, husband, friends, ex-loves.  I like them!

  News:

  1. I will be applying to work as a contract editor for Ellora's Cave, an erotic romance novel publishing company.  As I understand it, contract editing would be grueling work - long hours but getting paid per word.  On the up-side, I love editing!, erotica is fun, and I can do this job from anywhere. Hope that I: a) get an initial test edit and b) kick the test edits' asses!
  2. My husband's tonsils look like raspberries, but he's happy.  I'm happy.  He works 60 hours a week.  Loves both jobs but not so pleased with one of the nazi-managers.  Maybe when I move down there he'll quit the job that's making him sick and we can start doing homemaking hoo-ah (I'm thinking "picking out furniture," not "making babies" here).
  3. Oh yeah, Happy New Year!
  4. Last night my roommate and I made a really good dinner out of a box - a Homestyle Tuna Helper off-brand to which we added broccoli.  I was impressed!  I want more!  Evan also made a killer smoothie, and then we went to see Batman Begins at the dollar theater.  I really enjoyed it.  Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman win.  So do all of the other actors and Katie Holmes (poor thing).  I didn't realize Katie Holmes was in the movie and married to Tom Cruise until halfway through, but during the first half (forgive me) Christian Bale looked a bit Cruise-ish.
  5. Tonight I pick up my wedding pictures!
  6. Tomorrow Caro and I make chicken soup, eat moderate amounts of candy, and have a stitch'n'bitch!
  7. Then I spend the night.
  8. Then after work on Friday I drive "home," where my heart is - Steve, my brother, my sister, my parents, my dog.
