The Sandman Vol. 5: A Game of You

see relatedI think it is impossible to know somebody completely on this earth. I think that ultimate Love, eternal Love, is akin to eternal knowing, as with knowing God. It ties in to my ideas of Heaven and the afterlife and eternity. After the End, we will become aware, we will be purified, and we will Know God. This is His greatest gift. We were created to be apart from Him, to have the Choice to return to him of our own accord. Thoughts on that?
One of the next serious books I'll read, perhaps, when I finally finish Kool-Aid, is C.S. Lewis's The Four Loves. I think it will help me better understand my own thoughts on Love and incorporate some of his ideas into my own.
Friday Night:
Jigsaw puzzling with Evan, listening to a really good radio production of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I've never read the books or seen the movie, and from what I've heard in this BBC performance, I might not fully enjoy the book. The radio program is lovely, though. I talked to my husband, and I told him that if he had more than a day off from work, he should come up and see me.
Saturday:
Up around 9:00. I love sleeping in on the weekends when I can. I took Evan to his gaming thing, then drove the long but beautiful way to Cuyahoga Falls to meet Conrad and Amber. We took an awful lot of time to get to Maize Valley in the middle of nowhere, but the entire trip was pleasant. It was a stunning day! We went through the Grape Maze of Ohio, which involved tangled cornfields and wine trivia. After ringing the victory bell, we had hot dogs and apple cider and fed the goats, the donkey, and the pony. I was quite partial to the donkey, with his soft big ol' lips, his sweet eyes and tenderness. I'm still partial to him, even after he tried to eat my purse.
After feeding the animals and generally being Snow White-ish, we took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. I helped the couple pick out a good punkin, and then I lovingly cleaned the dirt off of it on the hayride back. We were soon done, went to the general store where I got a few Christmas gifts for family members (now that I'm married, I have to be good about that sort of thing), and then hit the road for home. We were a bit peckish, so we stopped at the oldest building in Hartville, a really yummy homestyle restaurant along the way. Pot roast, chicken and dumplings, fried shrimp, pumpkin pie. It was a feast, complete with corn, salad, and rolls, and we rolled on out of there. Back to Conrad's little house, the adorable first floor of an old place. Clean, in the 'burbs with Halloween paraphernalia all over the neighborhood. Jack the cat and I had a good time before we played a rousing game of Parcheesi. I was the elephants, and I won. My husband called and said that he'd be driving up to see me that night. I was ecstatic! Amber and Conrad bundled me up and sent me away with a couple of homemade cupcakes. I gave one to my roommate and asked him sweetly to do some dishes while I cleaned my room and took a shower. Stephen arrived at midnight. I told him jokingly that he missed Sweetest Day. We were tired and spent the night sleeping in each others' arms.Sunday:
Such a good day! The bishop was coming, and the only church sevice was at 10:00. I told Stephen this, and he said he wanted to be up for it anyway. I got out of bed at 9:00 and did a little more jigsaw puzzle work. Around 9:20, when I knew it was crucial for Steve to be out of bed or me back in it, I walked in and he was already dressed. We went to church and were a few minutes late, we sat through the hour and a half of confirmations and a good service, and we hugged the priest who married us on the way out. We decided to give aliashope and her husband a call to see if they were in and we could stop by. We did, and they fed us and recruited Steve to do some yardwork. I had a skirt on, so Andrew was a punk and didn't want me to help. I did some dishes and cackled with alias and caro in the warm house. Steve and I left around 1:30 and spent a few minutes at home hanging out and preparing our afternoon. We saw War of the Worlds at the dollar theater, did some window shopping in Legacy Village, and ate some dinner at Claddagh, the Irish pub at that shopping center. It was good and fun, and we topped it off with a little Haagen Dazs sundae.
Monday:
I hate being up at 5:45, but I got my boy up and on the road by about 6:30. He made it home safely, and I made it to work, and Evan is probably getting a car today. I talked to my first boyfriend, Geoff, for a while - today's his birthday - and things went well. I put in my three weeks' notice at my job and had leftover salad and cookies for dinner.
My plans for this week include paying a few bills, helping Evan get a car, packing up my car, submitting an intent not to renew the lease for my apartment, hanging out on Hessler Thursday night, going to a birthday party Friday evening, and driving to Dayton Friday night. I have next Monday and Tuesday off, and I'm taking laundry and our scanner/printer and whatever else will fit to my parents' place. There will be lots of love and maybe some yardwork and drinking with my underage brother.

It was nice to have a chance to sit and chat with you and Evan.
It's also nice to know that Princehouse really is nuts and it's not my personal insanity talking ;P
Alas, my math midterm did not go well, so I must bust my butt the remainder of the semester. At least it's behind me and I can focus on the midterms that are tomorrow *joy*
Speaking of which, I should probably stop prcrastinating now teehee
NEED I?
You're right though, I totally missed it not having that line. And yes, give me a chance and I'll get the book.
