Back at work.  Sunday it was too cold and rainy for the Renaissance Festival, which is somewhere between Dayton and Cincy, I believe.  Instead, my dad tackled the floor in the family room and we put down a new base.  I played with the jigsaw, the handsaw, and the electric drills.  It was fun to be so productive.  Then I watched the Steelers beat the crap out of the Bengals, calling Lydia and her mom at every touchdown to rub it in.  Then the family watched Batman Begins.

Lydia came over Sunday night.  She fell asleep before the marathon started, so I took a nap on the floor.  I woke her up to start the soaps and kept nodding off, waking up often enough to ask what happened to that character and why this one changed actresses and such.  I slept in Monday morning after driving Lydia home at 6:45, only to take her and my brother to and from classes in the afternoon when both had car trouble.

Monday afternoon brought some interesting and awkward moments between the newlywed couple and my mom - details not worth mentioning at the moment.  Let's just say Mama likes to barge in after knocking, she didn't see anything she didn't want to, and she and my dad are tolerant and even encouraging.  Steve and I then stayed out late to hang out with Carly and Wendel, an old friend of mine and her husband who works with Stephen.

Most of the wedding pictures are scanned, and I'll be putting up some of the good ones soon.  Monday and Tuesday I scanned eighty, after hooking up the silly machine.  Tuesday I did some laundry and packing and unpacking.  The family met for dinner at Steak'n'Shake before I got on the road.  It was rainy and dark, and I had a long pitstop in the middle, so it took me almost four hours to get here, but it was mostly pleasant.

Then I got to sleep in the big bed   I don't know if it's worth it to have that huge bed all to my lonesome, but for the most part it beats a little twin bed for two.  More news to come.
