  Thank you, Mike, for the new blogring, and for reintroducing me to the Queenoscots, from whose blog this funness comes:

  *30 years ago:
  -7 years old;   I've decided I was either a groupie or I was a Gospel singer still alive during the civil rights movement 

  *20 years ago:
  3 years old - I lived in England, eating Chuckles with my mom, fighting over a purple marker, dressing like an adorable little clown for Halloween

  *10 years ago:
  13 years ago - I fell in love for the first time, I lived in Mississipi for the second and last time, and I  held my own against the snobby southern belles who tried staring me down.  Telling a girl she has beautiful eyes seems to intimidate her

  5 years ago:
  freshman in college; saw Alice Cooper for the first time (queenoscots saw them 30 years ago; I like the parallelism here); That was the year I discovered Pink Floyd, developed a real love for Jethro Tull, made love.  (Um, my mom just told me she reads my Xanga; whatever.)
  

  1 year ago:
  was getting ready to quit my first real job at UH; lived in a wonderful big old apartment and moved into a little, better-kept apartment, discovering Xanga
  

  yesterday:
  moved back in with my parents after my last day of work and then going out for a drink with two dear counselors, Crystal, and so many amazing students with whom I would like to develop deep and real friendships; God bless the internet!

  5 snacks that I enjoy:
  ice cream, chips and salsa, triscuits and cheese, jelly beans, and mudslides (when I'm done with this, I'm making one for my daddy)

  5 songs I know by heart:
  Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (yes, we SHOULD all say this one), Sgt Peppers and Abbey Road, the whole albums, Rolling Stones's Hot Rocks album, the wonderful Ben Folds version of  Bitches Ain't Shit, and Metallica's Nothing Else Matthers

  5 things I would do with a million dollars:
  finish paying off student and car loans, redo my parents' house, buy my brother a better car, give some to my friend and Rome to play with stocks, and give some to Mrs. Rome and my church to give to good cherities

  5 places I would run:
  Baby, I was NOT born to run.  around the cruise ship I have to be on at some point in the next year (if we have the money), Ireland (I know, it's a wet run), the Rocky Mountains, New Zealand, and Italy

  5 things I would never wear:
  fur, spandex, tattoos, anything from Britney Spears' closet, toe socks
  

  5 movies I love:
  The Godfather, Dumbo, MirrorMask, Fiddler on the Roof, Amadeus

  5 bad habits:
  picking at my fingers, procrastinatinng, being a damn klutz, singing in public, and eating
  

  5 biggest joys:
  "my family, music, reading, traveling, peace (both inner and world)"

  5 fictional characters I would date:
  Gilbert Blythe, Dream/The Sandman, Jim Morrison (my idea of him), Tim Robbins, and Angelina Jolie
