A little edit:  I was reading Mike's Socrates' Cafe blog much earlier today, but I was still thinking about the Universal Mind, the Christian pantheism Mike feels closest to, and how it can be resolved - and is resolved, by many, in slightly different words.  I looked up "meister eckhart panentheism" in google, because that's where the idea coalesced for me.  Anyone interested should try this site.
    1. Thank you to my fabulous friends in Cleveland who are understanding and not pissed at me and love me even when my personal circumstances make me feel like a poo who doesn't feel comfortable driving to see them.
    2. Thank you to my fabulous friends elsewhere who play games with me for hours on end and tell me about all of their favorite things.
    3. Thank you to my fabulous Xanga friends who inspire and challenge and smile at me.  I'd be happy to discuss almost anything with you - words, philosophy, music, love, sex, food, media, whatever.  I don't watch American Idol, though, so I'm no good there.
    4. Thank you to the random people out there whom I encounter everyday.  You often enrich me in the smallest, sublimest of ways, and I pray for you and try to smile and Thank You when I meet you.
    5. Thank you for ever challenging me, being a vehicle of my humility.  Encouraging honesty and clarity and Love.  "Perhaps I'll really learn from it this time."
    6. Thank You for the sun and the rain and music and love, for the mind and dances, for the Doors, of perception and of clacid rock.
    7. Thank You for the weekend.  On the 7th "day," God rested.
P.S.  Leah and Lyle are among the many people who rock!

Praise the Lord for the weekend.  Even if this particular one will be just as busy as the work week.  It'll be fun!!

Who disappointed you?  Did you beat them up?  That usually makes me feel better.

Thank You, Lord, for Emily!  You are a great friend and so very encouraging (thanks so much for all of your kind words on my xanga... they are a great help during a less than ideal time)!  Enjoy your beautiful weekend... and be well!  :)

I only listened to one Echart Tolle tape and a lot of it made sense to me but he is a little too Eastern for me. I get what he is saying but it is so much work that I don't know if it is worth it to me. Judi

The ONLY way to do lysergic is to KNOW that your mind is gonna be taking  a vacation form reality, and being able to ACCEPT that fact  Control freaks usually freak out...but mushrooms is the way to go not because they're organic, but because they're milder.  Of course, i don't ADVOCATE using drugs

Christian pantheism...GW at the top of the godhead and your preacher in the 2 slot??? followed by the minor dieties---limbaugh, Fox "news," etc....

RYC---i don't think Nicky's book is "better" than mine...it's like comparing Mozart to Motown...what is tragic is that she has a great story that is poorly edited and completely falls apart at the end to be LITERATURE, but works as a FAIRY TALE  Of all the mistakes in my book, very few were spelling...MOST were mechanical...commas, spacings, reversed quotes, and dropped words
