  • Red Lobster was fun times.  Laura and I went early, during the Early Bird hour, really, and I had her get a Lobsterita, which is, of course, a giant, tasty frozen margarita.  She enjoyed it.  We kind of had to roll out of there a while later, stuffed to the gills.  Neither of us had fish fish - it was crab and shrimp for the both of us.  I could easily give up beef and probably even chicken, but seafood would be the toughest sacrifice.  I don't eat much pork as it is - just not my cup of meat... unless it's my mom's pork chops cooked on the grill with her homemade sauce.  (Somebody wanted the recipe, but really you'd have to taste it and adapt it - take some ketchup, some mustard, some spices, and half a can of beer as your base and see what happens.  The beer is to thin it out a little, give it some extra flavor, and to tenderize.)

Why am I on here so early?  Checking the spam filter on my center's central e-mail address.  The best subject line for a piece of spam to date:

"You always wanted to use your penis as a billiards cue."

I read somewhere that, due to its leanness, all pork must be brined before you can cook it, or it'll be as dry as chicken breast. Yep...salt and water.

    "...as a billiards cue."
Been there, done that, got too many bruises to try it again...J/K

I love meat...  All forms of meat.  But I hate spam.  Not the stuff that comes in a can, but the stuff that comes in an unprotected e-mail inbox.  I HATE it.  Why someone wants to spontaniously, randomly advertise to me for something I don't even want is beyond me.  And their tactics are absolutely asinine.  I had one that had the subject line that said something about a current event in politics, which was a point of interest for me.  I click it and what do I read?  "Get cheap rates on mortgage loans TODAY!!!!  "  ... or something like that.  If the common American could find some way of suing the thunder out of these companies that spoof e-mail addresses or use SpyWare to advertise, things would change, and I'd be leading the charge.  I'll quit while I still have room.
