    But first, check THIS out.  I don't post links that often.  This one's important.  Thanks to Laurie and Sword.

    10 years ago:

    1) I was angsty and in love.

    2) I was obsessed with the Beatles.

    3) my hair was prettier but I was fatter.

    4) I was a freshman in high school.

    5) my best friend was Lydia.

    5 years ago:

    1) I was self-confident and in love.

    2) I was a sophomore in college.

    3) I learned to love tea...

    4) ...and hummus and sushi and "weird" stuff like that.

    5)  I was a dumbass and took four English and two psych classes in the same semester.

    1 year ago:

    1) I was a newlywed.. and in love. 

    2) I was scrambling to find a new job.

    3) I got to hang out on Hessler every weekend.

    4) I didn't have a Kaylee.

    5) my husband and I didn't live together.

    Yesterday:

    1) dinner with my parents, sister and her boy, and my boy was tasty and so much fun.  They crack me up.

    2) I only saw my boss for five minutes.

    3) I did not read any of my book; I did a crossword puzzle instead.

    4) Mama and I watched Barack Obama on Oprah.

    5) my best friend was Lydia.

    5 snacks I like:

    1) chips and salsa

    2) cheese and crackers

    3) sunflower seeds

    4) frosted shredded mini wheats

    5) an apple or an orange

    5 songs I know all the words to:

    1) Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

    2) Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin

    3) most things by The Beatles

    4) Paint it Black by the Stones

    5) no, these aren't interesting; lyrics mean a lot to me, but my playlist is at home; I can't think.

    If I had a million dollars, I would:

    1) pay off every debt owed by my husband and my sister

    2) buy my parents a new bathroom and siding

    3) buy the dream house off of McKay and get me a new car

    4) give my sister-in-law the money to go to the school she wants

    5) a - let my dad invest half of what's left, b - let my mom find charities for the other half

    Things I would never wear:

    1) capris

    2) anything showing my midriff

    3) toe socks

    4) white pants

    5) a straitjacket

    Favorite TV shows (right now):

    1) House

    2) Jeopardy!

    3) The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

    4) The O.C.

    5) NFL Football

    5 bad habits:

    1) attacking my cuticles

    2) not exercising enough

    3) being lazy in general

    4) letting myself go uber manic or retardedly depressive

    5) not. writing. enough.

    5 biggest joys:

    1) family (and food-filled holidays, card games, lots of laughter)

    2) friends (road trips, tea parties, making connections, deep conversations)

    3) music (making it, listening to it, sympathizing with and grokking to it; letting it touch the soul)

    4) a good book

    5) achieving something I've really worked at (exercising, a good essay, something cleaned, organized or created)

    Excellent link to the piece on media fraud...thanks for pointing us over there. 

    A couple of things stuck out here that I enjoy about you: 1) you've had the same best friend for 10 years,  2) you take time to watch Oprah with your mother, 3) you refer to your mother as "Mama", 4) your bad cuticle habit makes me feel better
    about accepting my own, 5) your musical taste for such a young'un. 

    Thanks for the comments and support about the new job.  Sounds like you're having some similar experiences with writing acknowledgment.  That's awesome.

    My daughters will help me when I can not help myself anymore but I am going to exercise more and buy long term insurance because I want to make that helping as easy as possible. Judi
