  • My husband and I started dating seven years ago today.  Or at least this is the day we designated and celebrate.
  • I saw two squirrels in the parking lot playing this morning.  One had a piece of bread in his mouth that was bigger than his head.
  • Watch Elizabethtown.  A friend recommended it to me when it came out in theaters, and I haven't gotten around to it until just yesterday.  I'm not even sure who to recommend it to, as I know there are some parts of it that are completely special to me.  Everybody can get something out of it, though.  Hell, Paula Deen is in it!
  • I miss my San Antonio, San Marcos, and Houston friends.  I'm considering taking a long weekend and flying out there by myself.  My darling B. is able to drive again, and we could have splendid summer sunny times.
  • The Elizabethtown soundtrack is also amazing, and all the music I heard after that was awesome.  Steve wasn't interested in seeing the movie, which was just as well, but when he got home we ate and watched the last Star Trek episode on the disc.  Then we played a little Guitar Hero and got on our computers.  I wanted to go to bed somewhat early, but iTunes wouldn't let me.  The Doors, The Velvet Underground, Phish, The Beatles, Cake, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews, more Pink Floyd.  It was a smorgasbord of aural joy. 
  • Happy Friday.  Happy Battle of Puebla Day tomorrow.  It just so happens that a friend's birthday is on Monday, so we're having a huge Cinco de Get John Drunk bash.  It should be a hazardous weekend, and a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
  • And tonight Mr. Kite is topping the bill!
