    Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We may require punch and pie.

    1. My squawking (singing) is getting better.  It's a matter of letting go of that pride of good days past - and rebuilding.
    2. My counselor told me yesterday she wants to see me write books.  I was tickled.
    3. We had some amazing steak last night.  I'm not usually so big on steak, but it was a good cut (and on great sale (reduced from $12/pound to about $6 or $7/lb)), and Steve cooked it like a pro.  We also made our own fries out of potatoes.   Yum!
    4. Then we watched a goofy movie - "The Girl from Monday."  It had some fun people - like Edie Falco and the cute brunette from "Sports Night" and "Sliders."  It was one of those futuristic Corporations Rule the World movies, and it made us laugh and slap our foreheads in mock-woe at deciding to watch it in the first place.  There are boobies in it, too.
    5. The piece de resistance - I was just playing a bastardized online version of Scrabble way too late.  I had the letters for "orgasms," but I had no place to put it.  So I missed out on orgasms

    Carry on.

Happy birthday to your dad!! I have found that people who are creative in one way (singing) are creative in other ways (writing). Go for it!!  And, if you're comfy, post some stuff here.

    Happy Birthday, Emily's Father!
Oh, and every woman should write.

    "I was tickled..."
"it made us laugh and slap our foreheads..."
    "I missed out on orgasms..."
    Behold, Em's dirty mind..
    Context? What's that?

Of course you should write books.  Isn't it obvious.  Sorry about the orgasms.  That stinks.

I wouldn't go out of my way to ride a roller coaster, but if there were no lines, and I could just hop on, I would do it in a second.  I'm going with my husband who does not like anything, fast, jerky, spinning, or that he has to wait for.  So, mostly we'll be waking, eating and watching people. :)  I've never been to Kings Island sadly.

Thank that man who nurtured and celebrated your humour!!! I so often leave your blog smiling if not laughing outright! Peace to you...

RYC: I laughed at your comment on my site that I seem alive.  I am practically laying my head on the desk because I'm so tired today.   I got rained on yesterday - so much that every part of me was dripping by the time I got to my car. So, I think I'm starting to fight a nasty cold. I can feel it coming. Sigh.  I teach a college-level grantwriting course with a community partnership at a high school (it's a service learning course). This way, the folks in the class get a practical application of their skills - rather than some random "make believe" scenario.  It's a great class to teach. Things are always shifting and changing.

RYC: I had really cute hair yesterday and it was flat by the time I got home.  I'm growing my hair out so "cute hair days" are few and far between.

    1). I'm happy for you.
    2). Amen.
3). Why was I not invited?
4). I used to like "Sports Night".
5). You two are on your own in finding the missing "orgasms" . . . best of luck. ;o)

I am doing fine. I am tired because not used to my new hours yet or even working again after two months of being home. But it will get easy. I love you, Judi
